Re: yamaha dx200 tell me about it
Oh, and yeah - it skips regardless of whether you're in pattern or song mode.

Re: yamaha dx200 tell me about it
Weird. I have never heard anyone say their's didn't skip. I just thought it was a universal problem. I've owned two AN-200s and a DX-200, all skipped the first note when you change patterns on the onboard sequencer. There's (obviously) no problem if you're using an external sequencer. The AN-200 is ...

Re: How and why does the Quasimidi Sirius sound so good?
I loved my Sirius, but I ended up getting rid of it because: 1. It was pretty limited as far as sound editing goes; 2. I'm not sure if it was just mine, but the sound quality wasn't that great. It was kind of... I don't know how to describe it. Lo Fi compared to other, more advanced VAs I was lookin...

Re: Flying w/ Synths
I'd really try to take it onboard with you if you can. If you have to check it, forget packing peanuts - wrap it in plastic bag and wrap that in bubble wrap. s**t loads of bubble wrap. Have you ever seen baggage handlers at work? I can't imagine that an analog synth would actually make it to your de...

Thanks Ned. And Primie - I know what you mean. When the other half suggested we cover it, I thought he'd lost his s**t.

Finally put a few songs up. Two. And one of them's a cover. Have a listen. Or don't.

Re: KORG M500 "Micropreset"
Ahh, no way - I bought my friend a MicroPreset for his 21st, same problem. Synthe 1 & Synthe 2 don't work. Which is a shame, because they sound good from demos I've heard, and they are (from memory) the only ones with the simple attack/decay controls. Unfortunately I understood NONE of what was said...

I bought a 6HD about... a year ago I guess. I had a thread going on here about it, which got some good responses (not sure if it would still be on here, as it was a year or so ago). Its pretty awesome. However, you really need to have a solid understanding of synthesis to make the most of it. It has...
