Just got a Super JX !
I got it for $250can. not the greatest deal but i am happy with it. I am looking for a PG800 now . . . The sounds coming out of this beast are amazing. Even the strangest noises are musical . . . Hard to explain but true. There is a little problem with the board (i know about it before buying). The ...

Early giging days: I made an over-enthousiastic slide on my poly 800 . . . It went flying to the front of the stage . . . Just under the lead signer's feet as he landed from a nice jump. Being made of plastic, it made a horrible cracking sound and the batteries went flying. At least it died doing wh...

Its been a while since I listened to it but I don´t remember hearing any PPG sounds on Worlds Apart. Maybe ask Jim ? WT I LOVE Saga . . . They are the reason i started playing keyboards. WA is their best selling album and one of their best. Actually, the first 4 are great and then they got into a m...

For example any Roland TB product was seen to be a complete joke and anybody who had one a freak of nature! Anything with Casio on it was a toy except calculators? Oh, yes, I remember that too! And come on, how many of you will admit drooling at the sight of the then utterly brilliant Roland MT32 m...

Thanks for the replies. I did think that the problem could be with the pitch wheel but i wanted to know if it was a common problem with the K2000 before i either fiddle with it or send it to have it fixed. I trigger the K2000 from its own keyboard, Cubase or my JD800 and it is doing the same thing w...

K2000s : Sudden pitch change
Hi, My K2000s has been behabing strangely over the last few days. When i play, the pitch goes from minus one half step to plus one half step either suddenly or over a few seconds. It's even worse when i use the pitch bend DOWN because UP does not create any problems. I am totally lost and i was wond...

The Minimoog does the bassline in P.Y.T. This has been confirmed by Greg Phillinganes. Moreover, I've read that Michael Boddicker used two Minimoogs hooked together for some of the bass lines on that album. Whether this setup was used on this particular song I really don't know. EDIT: If I'd make a...

You can try youtube, i remember watching a few parts of his instructional videos . . . I think it was something for the K2600. A friend of mine paid for the full tutorial and has learned some goo techniques. Jordan uses a few shortcuts that make his playing sound even more complicated than it is. A ...
