I have it patched correctly. I have the low cut and high cut completely open and I'm unable to change the pitch at all with my guitar or keyboard. the signal goes through just fine, env. follower and get work great. I'm planning on cleaning it thoroughly tonight to see if that helps.

MS-20 ESP Pitch follower

Is there some special trick to get the pitch follower to work? I have everything patched properly. the envelope follower works as the does the trigger. The manual states I have to use the hp and lp filter to get it to function properly but I can't get it to change the pitch at all. Does it sound lik...

I used it with the s612 and the s900 it never worked properly though. the s900 had this sine wave that sounded pretty awesome. I would sample a unison patch on my polysix and play in poly along with the AX-60, that was pretty sweet. I'm sorry, 12 bit just sound awesome, it doesn't make sense but it ...

Phantom power does not boost audio levels. The whole point is that it's "phantom" you don't know it's there unless you need it to provide power for the little amplifier in a condenser mic or a DI box, basically. Thank You. As far as I know phantom power is only used to power condenser mics, I've ne...

Speaking of modular synths: Tired of not having polyphony? Run the Andy into the modular! Can insert it at any point, like before the filter. Just route an Aux out from the mixer or whatever into a filter input, and voila. But you should go through a mixer with phantom power (pre-amp) so the signal...

I don't want to discriminate against other genres of music but to me, 8 voices is plenty for pads and anything else a monosynth will suffice but I'm an analog freak.

Okay haven't been around in a while and never faired that well at your previous tests (that was you wasn't it) but these pretty much soundlike the same synth only the second one has the cutoff up or maybe the resonance depending on the filter type. If these were both in the same mix no one would be ...

The Alesis Fusion claims to have virtually unlimited polyphony. I guess that's waht you mean by theoretical, in real world scenarios, I think the VA and FM engine has 600 voices and the sampler might have a bit more and the PM or physical modeling has 200 and something. That's what I remember, you c...

When they come out with a Phatty rack mount I doubt we will have threads like this. Is that in the works? why didn't they just come out with one right away? I mean who wants a synth with min keys that looks like weird metal oyster from the back? I swear, the way the back of that synth looks is a to...

I've actually got the FAT (freeform Analog technologies) PCP300 Procoder which is also the exact same thing as the MAM and the NEXT! unit under a different label, I dig it.

I heard the same thing about the MAM or Next! procoder being used in that song. I have it and it certainly sounds that way. I have no idea how voicebox differs from a vocoder other than using a guitar as a carrier signal as opposed to a synth and a tube instead of a an actual mic. You should be quie...
