I think the point was more if you talk to them, it might give you ideas of things to look for/vs price points.

For reference, there is nothing wrong with powering it up with the keyboard not attached... It can be helpful to determine where the issues lie sometimes.

We have a winner. Buchla 200e. All the sound came right from the 261e oscillator.
