Re: Tip Top Audio

Not necessarily my thing when it comes to modulars, but still cool. totally agreed...its not my thing but the thing that is so cool about Tip Top and others like MakeNoise is that they doing very original and different fresh modules like this. I got a QMMG on order and cant wait for Tip Tops grid m...

Re: Sequencers sending pulse signal

Yes modular equipment is best for this but some monos may have an LFO reset input as well....on my modular my envelopes (all 5), lfo, clock divider and sequencer all have resets in to retrigger. On the Q, which I used to have, it did indeed have a CV in which I recall jsut messing with once...not su...

Re: Is Alan R Pearlman still alive???

Regardless, my original post was simply a question if anyone would be interested in buying a clone of a 2600 that didn't sound exactly like any of the originals. well I dont know...perhaps not enough to make the builder enough profit..but anyhoo..I didnt mean to start a shitting war on components p...

Is Alan R Pearlman still alive???

With Tom Oberheim coming out with the new SEM (which Im about to pull the trigger on) ARP is the only company of that era left really to jump aboard and come out with the ARP 2600 rev2 with MIDI... But Mr Pearlman seems to be the most mysterious of the figures...anyone know if he is even still alive??

NI B42 with Snow Leopard

MF is blowing out NI B42 for 99 bucks. I have a newer mac book pro with Snow Leopard on it. Do you think it will install?? I tend to think not. I have heard of people running B42 on SL but as for installing it...I think I would be wasting 99 bucks...anyone done this??

Re: current worth of a fender rhodes mk1

Some good condition with legs, amplifier and sustain pedal go for $1100 - $1300 usd. There's one locally for $850 (no legs, no amplifier) alas it is worth $550 to me since it is royally beat to h**l and needs much work. Couldn't talk the guy down to earth. You wouldn't be in Texas would you? I'm jo...

Re: I ordered my modular!

I agree with the plan b model 15, the AFG is super flexable but the 15 get REAL LOW and stays smooth for that super sub bass.

Re: I ordered my modular!

I own most of those modules and they are great. The AFG is VERY nice sounding and extremely flexible. The BBD is also a lot of fun that can give some unexpected results.

Re: What has happend to Yamaha and synthesizers?

Yes one must remember to take into account that Roland and Korg for the most part are synth companies that also make some guitar stuff and recording stuff. Yamaha's main deal really is the acoustic area first - pianos, horns, drums and acoustic guitars...they have been making all of these longer tha...
