Someone please answer the question of what is a "proper" monitor. Are there design parameters it must fall within? A certain response curve? Should they have a certain tweeter? Power handling? Yes. Is it suprising to imagine you can measure quality in a speaker? You're comparing the idea of a subje...

From just their site, I'm not too keen on it. Virsyn is a brilliant company. Cube is still ahead of it's time. !! Oh wow Cube 2- didn't even know.

And Cantor was an interesting direction. We'll have to wait to see if that develops more.

The closest memory is a foggy, old one..... I have a MOTU MIDI box that connects all my gear together via software for complex routing. I was messing with my Korg EA-1 and accidentally triggering the Alesis A6 and Yamaha AN200 at the same time. Let's just say for a few minutes I thought I had the ul...

I don't think anyone would only buy 1 module a month- unless it was a hobby like stamp collecting. But, instead of spending all you have for a one time deal you can't grow with later- you could spend enough at the start (the same $500 in your budget) and add on after. I sit on the modular fence too,...

I'm not sure what you mean by MIDI box. It has a software editor that works like a charm but looks a little sterile... http://www.korg.com/service/downloadinfo.asp?DID=435 and if you want to throw a monster app it then Sound Quest Midi Quest will do it big. http://www.squest.com/Windows/MidiQuestXL/...

For Reason, it just sounds personal. like someone up top refuses to budge. someone will be considered..wrong if they relent. Can't have that. Every reason ... er, excuse- sounds lame. Stability . Maybe there isn't an app that can host a few modules and toss around imported audio without crashing. Cl...

...but the build quality is very toy like and it can't really be used on much else. I agree with the quality issue, but don't see how they could have made it sturdier without tripling the cost. I use it with everything else actually. It responds like any other midi controller and you can always mid...
