i dont even get why people are so excited about this thing..? i thinks because it is small, portable and looks fun. remember 'fun'? :D Doesn't look too revolutionary to me, like a massively scaled down EMX. make music on the bus, on the road, at lunch or just impress the ladies with my cool...

I think you should better define the psychedelic sound you're after. Something modern and digital or classic rock pysch. like Hawkwind (ftw!)
I personally would choose something like the Dave Smith Mono/Poly Evolver.

I use the fx on my Korg EMX extensively, not just for the synth itself but for external audio, that's one of it's strong points I thinks. The Micron's reverb is the salt on that pretzel. And I will use the fx on my harddisk recorder, just press a button to turn fx on a track.

Does anyone think Korg will make any other electribes? I sincerely hope not - the electribes are so weak it's untrue. I had a EA1 and ER1, best bit of business I did was selling them on ebay for a loss!!! You may not personally like it. That's fine. But they are one of the more popular synths, even...

Queen: Jazz Im not the biggest Queen fan but the production (engineering??) quality blows me away. Maybe this is more mixing the engineering. Lots of dynamics, quality sounds, even on a limiting format like vinyl. Miles Davis: Bitches Brew Definitely some great mastering on this one. If you dig som...

Others here don't agree with me that the drum sounds on the EMX-1 are useless... but maybe that's because my biggest influence is hip-hop and the drums just don't cut...even after using three effects. I would be one of those to disagree with you about this. And I listen to hip hop more than any oth...

I use macs at work for video and audio production. I use a PC at home for my personal entertainment, audio and games. I've only had one problem on my office G5 dual processor, 500 gigs internal, 500 gigs external. I overloaded my harddrives and it crashed. Easy to do when working with uncompressed v...

It may lose popularity again, but it will always be here. Kind of like vinyl records should of been long dead decades ago. As long as there are people who care about quality of sound and quality of product, analog will be here.
