Leader is lovely. Great job.
I already said the tune with three 303's is fantastic, so I won't bother saying it again in this post because that would just be unnecessary. It's fantastic, though.

Re: Underworld
Another fan here.
Darren Emerson had nothing to do with their sound changing, Rick was the one who decided to change direction. I believe Karl wrote an essay that was posted to underworldlive.com that basically suggested that Richard Smith is Underworld.

Re: Yamaha FS1R
Good thing I searched the forum before starting a new thread. Bad thing the link in this thread is dead.
Where can I get the editor for the FS1R? I'm about to be an owner too. All Google finds are old, dead links.

Re: V-synth XT: different OS versions?
There is a difference between the Version 2 OS's. There is the "standard" version 2, then there is a version 2 with the PCM waveforms from the version 1 os. The 1st version waves are actually better for making really crazy and unheard sounds. I use both OS's actually. I have no idea if they're both ...

Re: Waldorf Blofeld KEYBOARD - w Samples ?!?
Claviitus is a real problem and affects thousands of synths every year, but it has the advantage of grouping all the controls together under the left hand while the right hand does the key pushing, AKA playing. This results in good ergonomics, as well as the ability to use teh same electronics for ...

Re: Waldorf Blofeld KEYBOARD - w Samples ?!?
Dear Waldorf, It has come to my attention that your recent mockup of a new, keyboard-based Blofeld suffers from what I have termed Claviitis. Claviitis is a disease that causes all of the controls on a synthesiser to congregate into one area and leave a great deal of unused space. Remedies include: ...

Re: The End Of Subtractive As We Know It....
they don't grow on f**k trees - neither do guitars Ummm...I hate to point this out, but...guitars...are primarily made out of...wood. (Just kidding, I know what you meant) As an aside: 23's posts gave me a chuckle. From what I remember, when I joined VSE, I was one of a very few who owned a V-Synth...

Re: Circle - A softsynth with thought put into the UI!
A mouse does not have this constraint, and people are c**p in aiming the mouse. If they suck at using computers, they might...I sure don't have trouble aiming. May I inquire what do you consider a great UI then? It's like p**n. I know it when I see it. Although to be honest, the UI is just about th...

Re: Circle - A softsynth with thought put into the UI!
I think it looks terrible. Maybe the layout is fine, but the design is like somebody threw up black paint and then added crayon droppings. To each his own.

Re: vintage gear question..
The best seller of all time was the Korg M1 which sold about 250,000 units. That's actually a pretty small number compared to TV sets, microwave ovens and PCs. That's a bit like comparing apples to automatic hay balers with red paint. Only certain musicians care about owning a M1. A far wider selec...

Re: Quality or Quantity?
Quality. I prefer flexible synths, gear that can do lots of stuff. There's nothing wrong with one trick ponies, but I can't afford to keep buying more.
