Re: +12 90's techno

That could have come off of Underworld's most recent album. Really lovely.

It might work fine for you. Good luck. Most of the problems are related to drivers, so if that's been mostly ironed out, you'll be fine.

But gaming performance still sucks in Vista. Hope you've got something with a nVidia and a 8800 somewhere on it...

Regarding the synth used...I suspect that Larry Heard has occasionally just mis-stated which Roland (something)-6 he used. I've read two interviews saying Jupiter, myself, but I'm not surprised if he has said Juno once or twice...both by Roland, both named with sixes, both starting with Ju...underst...

The actual synth is a Jupiter-6, so I suppose if you had to be exact...

I'm starting to really like the Blofeld...it's like every Waldorf product in one.

Seeing as how €399. is roughly equal to $599., I can't imagine how the value of the dollar would be a factor in a $699. street price. My money is on a street price of around $599. after the dust settles. Are you aware that currency values are not static? The U.S. dollar is going to keep fall...

This doesn't change my desire for a MD at some point...but the weak dollar means that point is getting further away. Still, the 64-step bit sounds nice...would work well in conjunction with the new OS for the Sequentix P3.

This is just plain wrong. You don't have to mod anything.

Mentions weird forms of house music like "jungle house" (WTF?) I wish "jungle house" was real, because it seems like it would be totally awesome. Anyway, like you 23, I'm a fence guy. I'd like a .com modular one day, but it's not like I'd throw out my Ion once I did. The modular might be more capab...

goes to show how strong the animosity here toward dance music is :) No, the animosity comes from those of us who listen to good electronic dance music. :P (Personally that "load of saw waves" sound annoys me.) Anyway, it's square for me. Though ironically the square I probably like best is the 303'...

Another MIDINES guy here. It's great.

Incidentally, I've never had to "fix" either of my NES's. They still work fine. Except when they don't.

Why does everyone always complain? It's easier to complain about than to solve a problem. Personally, I agree with your desire for more "hybrid" synths. For example, I love synths like the V-Synth and MEK simply because there's a greater range of ways to produce different sounds, versus more "tradi...

How big is this thing going to be? Sounds like a couple good size walls would be required.

Honestly, it all sounds way too complex. There's just so much that could go wrong. Good luck though.
