well wiglaf. thx for rating our intelligence so high... Sorry, didn't mean to sound like that. Reason was my first real foray into electronic music production, at least the demo was. (Well, ReBirth was first) I didn't know that the manual was also avaliable for download, and ending up teachin...

The problem I have with all this "Be Original and Do New Things" attitude is this: I like the 303. The sounds it can make have been heard a zillion times over. Using one probably to create plain old acid will never be original...this isn't the mid 1980's. But I like it. Why should I be original if I...

You should've taken that and ran. Used computers are worth nothing, realistically. It's a matter of who is willing to pay what.

Reminds me of Solar Quest's "A+B=C in D#" single.

Both sides were designed to be played at the same time.

Wish I had even one copy.

I also understand that Reason is not a recorder, and this really suprised me as I always thought of it as the "ultimate" PC-tool for musicmaking Reason is intended to be a bunch of softsynths, effects, and whatnots wrapped into a single package, not a competitor for Live, Cubase, Logic, Sonar and o...

As much as I like Mackie, I'd go with the Soundcraft, based on reputation.

The Mackie I own is the Onyx 14somethingorother (it's not in my room at the moment). I know it's not quite the one you're looking at, but I've had no trouble with it.

Hmmm...after some internet searching, it appears the Ion is indeed deceased. None of the online retailers I looked at had any, and some don't even list it.

That is a suprise.

Roland.

Considering the music I prefer, they're about the only brand you need.
