Re: Blush Response: Digital single available for free download!

sounds great. good work on the vocals, and the song organization is stellar, the parts working together with each other, each in its own and right place. you really worked this song out well.

Gnat or Wasp.... anyone open one up?

I've got a Gnat with a scratchy pot. I want to open it up to clean it, but I'm not familiar with the method used to seal the plastic case. Can I just pop those plastic rivets out and then back in later? Or are they more like nuts and bolts, where you have to fasten the other side to hold it in place...

EDP Gnat: Any experience opening?

Some of my Gnat's pots are getting scratchy... Do to those nubs just pop out and back in? Or is it something more complex?

Roland M VS1 Pipes on a Roland JX3P?

I have the Roland M VS1, and really love the sound called "JX 3P Pipes". Is this a preset on the JX3P? Does anyone know now these two sounds compare?

Thanks,

DD are kinda puffy, but actually look pretty good for their age. they look like poorly-aged belltown thirtysomethings... not bad for guys pushing 50.

Re: That ultimate bass drum...

i still use the samples of the Procussion and UltraProteus when i want drum machine stuff, including kicks. occasionally i'll use my 1974 minimoog just for synthesizing a kick, it's every bit as deep & rich as an 808 and an older Model D is perhaps the bass-y-est synth around. make sure you dedicat...

Re: Anyone know what this synth is?

okay. i'm going to have to break character for a moment now. in the video at the beginning of this thread, there is no keyboard player. they just have a white SH-101set up as synthesizer sounds bounce prominently in the track. i liked pretending i was their keyboardist. or synthesist, as i prefer.

Re: Anyone know what this synth is?

i don't know. i know my sounds are featured prominently in our songs. i just feel that --- for example --- if we were to make a video, i feel like they'd rather just leave me out of it entirely. like it's the keyboard they want -- but they are so "rock-n-roll" that they couldn't actually show someon...

good point. think of how many more broken synths/cases of flat beer you could buy with that $200. sorry.
