Prophet~600

Here are a couple of demos I did with my newly acquired Prophet~600. The 600 with a touch of delay and spring reverb for added sweetness.

Clamp-on tier?

Does anybody know of a keyboard tier that will clamp onto the edge of a table or desk?

You think it's still a little group of stoners in a garage with soldering irons? :)

Prophet 600 Vs. Prophet 08: which to get?

I've seen comparisons drawn between these 2 synths. Are there any huge reasons why I should pay $2000 to get the 08 over the 600?

Yeah. You know what? The Paia didn't sound half bad for what you pay... Gotta do the work, but could really be worth it.

New analog synths, new drum machines. What about vocoders?

Are there any new analog vocoders coming out? Is Bode still in business?

Other questions

I have more questions about the LP too. How would it work as a controller? Can it play polyphony? Can you disable the keyboard from playing the internal sound, and control midi sounds. And if so, at the same time can you keep a midi sequence running the LP sounds while playing its keys to control ot...

Is this then, not what I think it is??? Sample Kit Voices & Pitched Voices Sample voices are further divided into two types: “sample kit voices” and “pitched voices”. “Sample kit voices” allow up to 128 different samples to be assigned to different notes from C-2 to G8. Different samples can thus be...

I think 16 will be enough for me as long as they don't force you to put each individual drum sound on its own track or something silly like that.

Thanks. I really look forward to getting my hands on this thing. I have the SM card adapter and a couple of 128meg XD cards.

Besides the limits on sampling abilities (I'm sure there are work-arounds), is there really anything else lacking on this thing?

I didn't even know it had an arpeggiator! :D
