Re: How do you route your midi?
Just a poll here, as I'm trying to get my studio (aka bedroom) set up in the most efficient way possible. I've got two different boards I use regularly as controllers, and a bunch of rack synths (um four at the moment), plus midi in and out of my computer. What equipment/methods do you use for your...

Feb 2008 Future Music magazine page 12 ....The Little Phatty Stage II adds a USB interface plus a built in arpeggiator. Moog also added the ability to MIDI-sync the LFO's and arpeggiator........ Yeah, yeah I know that guy, I think I just wasn't reading the above quote right at first and being a lit...

I love my LP! Love it so much that I traded a PEK for it! Crazy? Yeah..I know, that was a whole separate post, but I really don't miss the PEK that much. Favorite features: the filter, and wall shakin'- earthquaken'- window breakin' bass. I wished it had a sync-able LFO but that would be my only gri...

I find it much better to run everything in a star rather than a chain. I used to chain everything, but as soon as you have more than a small handful of units, it's a pain. I use a MOTU Midi Express 128, and will be getting the XT asap. I run the rack stuff through the 128 at the moment, and keys ar...

MIDI thru
Does anyone know why some synths don't have a MIDI thru connection? The Semblance, Nord Lead 2x and the LP are missing 'thru' which kind of sucks for my studio as I like to sync them with the xbase or Live. It wouldn't stop me from buying a particular piece but it just seems weird to me. Well, I ord...

I use all of mine (Nord, LP, software...), however, the Semblance hasn't been getting a lot of use lately. Personally, I'm not as concerned with how many types of synthesis methods I have at my finger tips as I am concerned with a synths character sound. I look a synths like a box of crayons. Each o...
