I think any of the nord lead's would be a good. Pretty straight forward, no menu diving and it sounds great. Not sure if your looking for a VA(Virtual Analog) or the real deal but for learning synthesis either should do the trick. If you have a PC/Mac with a sequencing program like Live 6, Cubase, P...

Yeah, try the greek modes (Ionian, Dorian, Phyrigian, etc.) as well as blues scales. Blues works for almost anything, they are 6 note scales. Notes 3, 5 and 7 are flat. C blues would be C, E flat, F, G flat, G natural, and B flat. I guess it depends also on where it "feels" like the music you are pl...

I, like most here, am anxious to just see the 08 let alone play it. I've been waiting for something like this to come along and BOOM! Here it is, well, almost. The DocT demos sound great! I would describe the sound as highly detailed and powerfull, just what i'm looking for in a synth. I'm listening...

Been a while since i've posted here and what better time than during the release of what looks to be an instant classic. Ok...I'm sure you're all tired of that term "instant classic" eh?. Can't wait to try one of these on for size and those Trippler demos sound great. Kudos to the DSI team not only ...

Don't under estimate the power of the Waldorf Edition's Attack percussion synth. Lately I've been using it as a synth rather than a drum machine and WOW! Very powerful and capable of analog sounds. Take care you don't smoke your monitors with this one...seriously. Love the Zeta+ too however since I ...

Hey JS, sounds like your set on the FR revolution and the MFB Synth. I almost bought the MFB myself as it's just a great sounding little box. I gotta throw in my two cents though. How about a small modular system? Couple VCO's, a VCA, filter of your choice, mixer, a couple of envelopes and an analog...

K, here's mine - http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=5475168&q=hi I used the SEMblance through a Digitech "Bad Monkey" tube overdrive pedal. 2 Oscillators used, 1 set to pulse just over 50% PW, 3/4 volume. 2 set to saw at full volume. Osc 1 was sync'ed to 2 then switched off. I played w...

Uh...question, why would you get rid of your kit if its just a matter of space? Can't you just store your studio stuff and synths somewhere? Unless of course you need the money or something. Poly - PEK Mono - SEMblance Drum machine - Xbase09 Sequencer - Live Wild - Nord Lesd 2x This is actually my w...
