Thanks Dan. You know, PWM is something i've tried but have not used yet in any songs. I wished there were two separate LFO's so I could do PWM at different rates per osc...fatness! Hmm, i'm getting some ideas now... Dan (and anyone else with SEMs) if your not to busy with other projects, could you w...

Thanks. My next task is to make a track with just the SEMblance using little or no effects. It's tricky but it sure makes you think differently.

May I have 4 minutes and 45 seconds of your time?

Here's a track I made using mostly the SEMblance and i'll break it down for you. The kick, metalic hi-hat sound, deep bass, square bass, the FM pitched up sound and the radio noise at the end are the SEMblance. Two midi tracks are another hi-hat sequence and a snare sequence from Live 6. The sound t...

Yeah the basses it can produce are excellent IMO. Dan, do you have anything in the works using your SEM's? I'd really like to hear more from those little gems.

Thanks Carey. I noticed that there are not to many SEMblance demo's anywhere on the net. I've never heard a real SEM in person but I am very happy with the tone of the semblance. A little off topic here - I'm building a track with only semblance tones and i'm finding it very easy to create the sound...

SEMblance demo

It's been a while since I posted anything here. This is about 2o seconds short of a 4 minute demo of some of the sounds the SEMblance is capable of. The mp3 was alot longer but I had to trim it down quite a bit. Ok so no effects with the exception of the last clip. I used the Digitech Bad Monkey tub...

Pink Floyd, Rush and many others! Same here. And Genesis; and Marillion. These were my original inspirations back in the day - especially Rush (being a fellow hoser, of course). But after a 15 year hiatus from playing music, dusting off the old Juno-6, bringing it to a jam, and having everyone ther...

I upgraded from Fostex PM0.5's to KRK V6 series 2's and the Rokit 10s and IMHO it's like the difference between night and day. I payed under $1000 from guitar center for the whole set up plus those expensive-ass Mogami cables. I was demo'ing the A7's @ Analogue Haven and I thought they sounded great...

I use an Xbase09 and a ER1mkII and sometimes the Nord and sometimes the PEK and sometimes the kits that are in Live 6. Always wanted a drum set when I was younger but my dad insisted on keyboards...oh well, I have the best of both worlds now kinda. Whats cool about the Xbase is you can "play" the th...

You know the sound of running your finger over the bristles of a comb? I made that using the z3ta+. Not my favorite sound or anything but I thought it sounded cool. I love the "Big Sawz" patch on the PEK. Add some long reverb and lengthen the amp release...Mmmmm.
