Re: Roland JP8000 as a MIDI controller. A waste?

Not true. I sold mine on ebay this week for £475.

Now I have £475 burning a hole in my pocket! Do I go newer or older? or neither and get a load of USB MIDI controllers.....

Re: Roland JP8000 as a MIDI controller. A waste?

I do not consider myself a musician. I have not written a decent song for years. BUT I do enjoy the whole sound designing thing. I enjoy making an interesting racket for an hour or two a week I've slowly traded my way up through ebay over 10 years from a SH1000 up to my current set up. Its funny how...

Re: What Multiple Input USB Audio Interface

Thanks, very useful information. An Express Card to Firewire adapter is fairly inexpensive.

Roland JP8000 as a MIDI controller. A waste?

I'm consindering sell my hardware setup consisting of a Juno-6, JP8000, Novation DrumStation and Korg KP-1 and replacing the lot with some SoftSynths and some nice controllers. I've tried to use my JP-8000 as a midi controller as it has over 50 controllers, but it seems an awful waste of a nice bit ...

Re: Roland Juno-6 Arpeggiator Sync

Some time ago I bought a MIDI to trigger converter from http://www.engineersatwork.nl/ . I never got it to work. After a bit of effort today I finally got my sequencer to control the Juno 6 apreggiator clock! and it only cost £22! http://www.engineersatwork.nl/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/58/produ...

Re: What Multiple Input USB Audio Interface

At best I would like to be able to monitor the two synths and drum machine in my sequencer "live" while applying audio effects (plug-ins) to each instrument. I assume you would need three separate channels to do this. As a compromise I could do away with the real time effects and just buy a cheap an...

What Multiple Input USB Audio Interface

I have a Roland Juno 6 (via a korg Mini-KP), Roland JP8000 and a Novation Drumstation that I want to record/monitor simultaneously in my audio/midi sequencer (Sonar). I would like them on separate tracks so I can apply effects and record totally separately. Can anyone recommend a suitable audio inte...

Re: Roland Juno-6 Arpeggiator Sync

There was a TR626 on eBay for £50 but while I was looking around I found a Novation Drum Station for £77 total. Not 100% sure that it'll do the job but it certainly won't go to waste.

Roland Juno-6 Arpeggiator Sync

rpI've got a Roland Juno-6 and I'd like to sync the apreggiator tempo to a midi sequencer. How can I do this without spending over £50? ($90) Is there an inexpensive midi-to-trigger converter? or Will the "Arpeggiator Clock Sync" jack at the back react to some sort of click audio samples that could ...
