When you played live noone used a PC. So you're buying a Mac to impress your friends ? It is not about impressing my friends ... I mean that all electronic music producers that I like (not my friends) and that I saw playing live, use Macs for live gigs. SO lets say something like that - ultra cheap...

Personally, I quite quickly got used to that tiny keys. Sure you will not be able to play Rachmaninoff on that, but who cares ... I prefer smaller keys and more octaves anyway.

they should work just like any other function. they are 4 different modulation routings. knob 1 controls the source, knob 2 the destination, and knob 3 the intensity of the effect. if the changes you are making seem to be impacting the sound very little, i'd wager that the intensity is set very low...

i think one device slaving another daisy chained with another would be fine and there wouldnt be too much lag. i dont have either a kaos pad or a microkorg, but if one of them has beat synce or seq features, i imagine it can send a midi clock. not sure though. or get an external seq like an mpc yer...
