Re: KORG M500 "Micropreset"

HANG ON, FOLKS!
If anyone uses one perfectly working, I'd be really pleased to know what they see with an oscilloscope on the negative poles of C44 and C48...(just near to the previously mentionned transistors), just in SYNTHE1 and SYNTHE2 cases.

Thanx! :)

Re: KORG M500 "Micropreset"

 All mine are 2SC945 too... I inverted the 2 KORG35 chips, replaced C44, C45, C48 and C49, and unsolded and checked TR27, TR29, TR30 and TR31. Now I can't imagine the trick any more... My selector buttons work perfectly... SO WHAT? Seems like if there was a way out to ground somewhere around ...

KORG M500 "Micropreset"

Hi there! My M500 has a problem: The 2 grey SYNTHE1 and SYNTHE2 buttons don't work anymore. I opened the little beastie and had a look on the schemes, but some transistors aren't referenced but just marked "selected". I'd like to replace TR27, TR29, TR30 and TR31, cause I don't see another possible ...

Re: is your analog synth alive??

YESSSSSS! My 800DV, Lambda, MS20&50, CS30, CP30 and Delta ARE! Such Evolving bahaviours, perhaps due to varying temperature or air moisture?

Re: what part "plays" serependity or chance in your music ?

5%, 'cause you may never plan exactly what will happen with a Korg analog resonant filter. However, with time and practice, you learn to "guess" it more and more precisely.
Apart from those "limit situations", I allways obtain precisely what I'm looking for on my good old buddies.

Re: Korg Delta CV Mod?

I use a Delta for long and know it like my pocket. I think it's not possible without adding a complicated interface, 'cause the Delta's a strings machine like an organ and doesn't work with a VCO, but with a fixed oscillator which's frequency gets divided into all keys frequencies. It might be possi...

Sequential Circuits MULTITRACK

Hi everyone. I'm on to buy a Multitrack... The synthesis possibilities seem enormous to me, and I'm not far to think that this little beastie has everything you could wish on a poly-synth! But Multitrack sound samples are quite rare on the internet. I found some Six-Track samples, and experienced th...

I use my CS30's sequencer as a master for both R64 Rhythmbox and SQ10...Where's the trouble? You've got a SEQ TRIG OUT and SEQ CV OUT jacks on the rear panel... 8)
