Re: Emu Emulator II - New Soundbanks.

Two more batches demo'd here:

Just get in touch if you want to trade custom EII sounds. There's a 5.25" floppy disk batch of these on Ebay currently if no Mac/SD setup.

Re: just me? or do youtube demos all suck

Wait, first we were ripping on people for having too many synths. Now we are actually ripping on people for the QUALITY of their YouTube synth videos? Really? Incredible isn't it... you'd think they had paid to watch them or that they're were 'owed' the time and effort of someone to record and uplo...

Excellent. A favourite tune of mine from a long time ago and you've done a great cover of it.

Re: new ambient piece

Now that's a strange one.... 1980's video game shoot 'em up meets nursery night time tune.... and still quite enjoyable. :) Definately original.

Everything sounds great on this track EXCEPT... the TB-303, sorry. Really like the rest of it including the first arp sound... Could be something really good.

:) Ah, now why did you have to put that image in my mind when you could have said the lass out of Flashdance instead.... Thanks for the tune, took me back 20 odd years.

Re: Emu Emulator II price on the Bay

As with most things, prices reflect the version, memory, additional items/extras etc. etc. but most importantly.... the condition. An early Rev 0 with few or no disks requiring attention because it's been stored and not used for many years could be had for a few hundred. A Rev 1 EII+ with Mac/SD con...

Emulator II in a Yello style

This started out a demo track of recent soundbanks I've created for the Emulator II and kinda took a style of early Yello stuff I thought... Anyway, bit of a silly tune but thought the sounds went together OK...? Some Roland XP50 and R8 drums in there too. A bonus point if you pin the other drum sam...

Re: EII vs EII...

Both are museum pieces at this stage, and should be preserved as such, so they're available to engineers to stand on the shoulders of giants. I for one could not have an EII in the studio, it would interfere with the composing process too much. That view surprises me but understand it's your own. I...

Re: EII vs EII...

I’m of fan of old samplers. Well, to be specific, I’m a fan of the sounds . For me it’s no fun at all trying to get old technology to work reliably and to integrate into the studio. There’s nothing worse than battling with a faulty floppy disc when you have a burning idea for a tune. You won't be w...
