I'll second the EHX Small Stone - great, simple phaser. Not a subtle effect. I like my Maxon AD999. Not many people here use this pedal. 900ms of BBD delay. And bright PINK ! It has a very mushy character to it. Smooth. I still want to get my hands on a Deluxe Memory Man and/or a Diamond Memory Lane...

I read the manual but not being 'electrically inclined' I don't have a clue as to modifying a power supply with mini banana jacks. I'm pretty sure this is not a common item. I'd hate to blow the thing up. That's really the only thing holding me back. What are the benefits to designing it this way?

When the SX was first announced they planned on releasing it in Dec. of 06. Then it went through a huge overhaul and became the what it is now (a vast improvement but twice as much money).

Only 4 more days left of Dec. I can remember this time last year waiting for the XS to be released in Dec. 06.

that tom sound you speak of could have been created on pretty much any analogue synth from that period. resonance, pitch enveloping and keytracking.

There isn't DIN Sync on the 777. Plus just about any old MIDI cable will function fine as a DIN Sync cable as long as all the pins are wired. I have yet to come across one that doesn't (at least the various ones that I own).

The Juno 106 is indeed nice. It was my second synth and I owned it for a good 15 years (no voice chip issues either surprisingly). But once I bought the very cheap and underrated JX3P (and a PG200 shortly after) I sold the 106 to a friend. I like the JX3P more, especially it's very unique and cool s...

It's too quiet damnit. It's quiet because some people are making music with gear they already have rather than thinking about music they might be able to make with gear they might be able to buy   Exactly. This has to be the most overused 'logic' I keep running across. Why can't...

considering i paid around $600 for my dx200 (new, many years ago) i'd say buy it. it's a great machine. i sold mine however to fund other stuff (for about $250).
