You make the Q sound like a very mellow synth.
It has a wider palette than I think many people give it credit for. It's not all fizzy digital timbres...that territory is reserved for Nord. j/k

Here's a little tune that is all Waldorf Q - except of course for the drums and voice ;)

Re: Ensoniq VFX reliability. Thinking of buying one.

I have a VFX and love it! I still get unique sounds out of it I just can't get from other gear. ...the first thing I did to mine was the hardwireing mod for the keybed. Never have any problems. Here's my little "love letter" to the Ensoniq VFX: :love10: :love10: :love10: http://www.carbon111.com/vfx...

Subterranean Bathers

Fast on the heels of Luna , my new song Subterranean Bathers is about how Lovecraftian fishpeople have secretly moved into the suburbs...or something like that. ;) http://carbon111.com/music/subterranean_bathers.mp3 "Chewing gum and twist-ties Are binding me together It's just a kind of glue To help...

Re: FREE ALBUM - Swamp Circus

What's not to like? ;)

The whole "carnival" ambiance is great. I've never heard anything quite like it! My wife thought it was really lovely as well. :D

...and based on more feedback, brought the vocal up further (I'm too shy, I guess ;)) as well as raised the kick drum a tad and widened the song's overall stereo image.

I need to walk away from this one now. :D

Re: Luna

Based on listener comments, I've added a little more diversity between chorus and verse as well as raising the lead vocal track's level:

Re: Luna

A listener pointed out an issue with this song regarding dynamics, or the lack thereof...I've lowered the lead's level in the verse quite a bit and I'm liking it better now plus the vocals are much more intelligable. Uploading the new version as I type.

Luna

Well, it's been a little while since I was in the studio actually making music...getting Shadow out took a lot of time and effort even after all the recording was done. I was able to steal a few hours from Time himself the last couple of days and create a little tune called Luna: http://www.carbon11...

Re: Lost Terrain - Serge Modular Explorations

Some notes on the production of the individual songs: Artic-11/25 The real presentation piece in this album is Artic-11/25 as it's the most complex structurally. As an exercise, It was made with only the Serge "Creature" and "Gator" M-odules. Going into it I thought it was going to be very minimal w...
