Re: Lots of LFOs

Roland JD-800 has 2 per part, so 8 LFOs are possible when using 4 oscillators.

Re: Yamaha CS-5 Triggering notes when releasing a key

if it is a "j-wire" keyboard, making sure none of the metal "fingers" that contact each bus wire are bent. The CS-5 uses a rubber contact strip the same as the other CS monos I've seen. Opening it up and cleaning it is pretty easy, but it pays to be careful not to scrape the conductive material off...

Re: who else but novation?

I have a Novation Supernova II and I totally understand why you are impressed. The Supernova II is a really powerful synth, so if they put some of its genes there, I'm sure the A-Station is pretty good too. The Waldorf Micro Q also astonished me by being not deep at all too. I have yet to compare it...

Re: Yamaha CS-5 Triggering notes when releasing a key

Yes, the attack must be set to zero and preferably have a nice amount of release to be noticeable. That way the volume goes all the way up and if the release time is big, it goes down slowly being noticeable. I guess it is the same with yours, right? You have tried anything to solve the problem yet?...

Yamaha CS-5 Triggering notes when releasing a key

Hi I bought recently a Yamaha CS-5 but unfortunately some of the keys trigger the note when they are released. Since this happens only with some keys, I am sure it is a problem with the keyboard, but does it likely only need to be cleaned, or something else might be required to be done for it work p...

Re: Novation Supernova 2 or Alesis Ion or...?

Thanks for the input. I haven't looked at the Fusion yet, but if what you say is true (about the lack of controls) then it might already be ruled out. I need the hands-on control. For me, it's necessary because nothing drives me crazier than endless menu-diving. I just mentioned that so that you kn...

Re: Novation Supernova 2 or Alesis Ion or...?

I have a Novation Supernova II and I think it is an amazing synth. I also have an Alesis Fusion which has a similar VA engine to the Ion. I can say it sounds pretty good together with the Novation Supernova II in a mix. My only grip with it is the lack of controls, which is also making me wanting an...

Re: Making an affordable KORG MS-20 out of a Monotron?

The monotron seems a really nice product and the ribbon / pen way of controlling it may help doing something different than I would with my current mono synths. But one reason why I really want one and I really think I'll buy one, is because I really hope that when Korg sees how successful they are ...

Re: Korg Zero 8 to record? Where are the best prices in Euro

It seems a really nice price to me too and it seems all I could ever want in a mixer / audio interface. The problem is that I was checking the Korg Forum and it seems that they have quite some problems, which is leaving me a bit afraid of getting it, cause I don't spend that much time at home now, b...

Re: best low-cost hands on polyphonic VA?

The AN1x is great too, but I don't think it has the interface needed... But the sound I have to agree... is really nice. The same with the Waldorf Micro Q, a really nice sounding sound, easy interface, but you cannot tweak too many things at the same time (you can't tweak filter cutoff and resonance...

Re: best low-cost hands on polyphonic VA?

I quite like my Novation Supernova II. I wouldn't say it has the best interface possible, but it is quite ok, I would say. The Nord Modular is the best one, for sure, but you won't have the interface you wish. The editor is quite easy to work with, and the possibilities are simply amazing ;) It is l...

Korg Zero 8 to record? Where are the best prices in Europe?

Hi I am quite into buying a Korg Zero 8 to use as my audio interface and mixer in my home studio. Is this a good option? I have a Edirol FA-101 but sometimes it records with some noise and more inputs would be great, like the 8 stereo channels I would get with the Korg Zero 8. The best price I've se...

Re: Non-functioning Juno 60 for 200 euros. Is it worth it?

Considering how crazy things are nowadays, 200 euros for a broken one is cheap, at least if you consider this - http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260615498615&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT To me, I don't think one in good working condition should be worth more than 500 euros (I would only...

Re: Suggestions for all-in-one outboard effects unit?

A Nord Modular G2 Engine would be pretty nice too.
At least I love to use my G2X for processing my other synths.

For something cheaper the Korg A1 seems great, at least I am looking for one, despite I have never tried it...
And the Ensoniq DP/4 seems great too.
