There are many caveats. You can try the demo at Cakewalk.com i believe. Never tried it. Stuck at Sonar 4. But if it ma...

haha.

Im one of the few people who prefer the 106. Had a 60, thought the 106 sounded richer.

6000 or 8000?

DW8000 no question. 8)

Roland D50 does a damn good job at it. Especially if you use better effects externally and switch its own off. The V-Synth also has a reasonably good preset called Old Polly or something. It can be made even better with a bit of tweaking, especially using its LA Sawwaves in one oscillator; along wit...

  Not content with Vs threads for every synth and its f**k granny, usually repeated about twenty times over, we now have the ultimate, real synth Vs a box with leds.

No wonder I despair for the future.

The old Akai MP series is what i used originally. Still bloody good at what they do and cheap as chips. Check Ebay. They are old but pretty resiliant. Can I just suggest, DONT read so many books/manuals at the one time. You will NOT take it any for any time. One or two at the most and then try HANDS...

Naw. Midi Patchbays can be set to send , well, whatever transmitted, to anything on the end. YOU decide what gets filetered or not. I tend to send mine from a PC sequencer but you can use most any decent sequencer with a semi decent spec to control most anything. A Start/Stop from your master device...

I don't think it's an awful synth at all. But you turn it on expecting it to be a "modern OB-8", when you've probably not even played a real OB-8, just have this general notion of what it SHOULD sound like.. If you just judge it as a normal VA/analog it sounds just fine. Has nice effects section to...

Amen brother WDW. Amen. Would have been better named merely the OB12 or Viscount12 or anything else except Oberheim. Just annoyed a lot of people who threw a lot of shite without having the synth. and basing most everything on how it compared to original Obies. Their loss. However I lost mine over t...
