A good and compact synthesizer. Also I like the keyboard.

I like my FIZMO but with a bit of ambivalence.
It can produce something no other synths can do. But the filter sounds weak to me....

I always use normal 2HD disks with W-30/S-550.

And there are tons of libraries and utilities:

I like HT-6000 very much. 4-OSC, analog filter with ring modulation is a great combination. CASIO used SD synthesis in many Casiotones at that time, but HZ/HT series are the only editable ones (HT-700/3000/3500/6000, HZ-600). CASIO MT-400V is a hybrid synth before HT. It has a Casiotone with an edit...

As for the interface; YAMAHA once made a knobby version of DX: DX200 http://homepage.mac.com/synth_seal/images/dx200.jpg This is good, but I think it should have had more knobs. Also the limited knobs seem to be intended only for preset-tweaking, and not for sound creation from scratch. I have exper...

Thanks for the .mp3s - 'Beat It' was the only Synclavier sound I knowingly heard. Track 02 reminds me of YAMAHA SY77's factory demo song. It included a patch that sounds like this track (envelope-looped bass sequence with some atmosphere). YAMAHA may have imagined SY77 as a compact integration of Sy...

Yes, MU10 is a DB50XG in a module. All MU series except MU5 is compatible with DB50XG. One feature they miss is full editability as synthesizer. If you need full editability, go for YAMAHA S03 keyboard - it's a version of MU128 with deep editability. And there is a rare model KORG NX5R, which is an ...

K5000 has much more high quality waveforms than K4. K4 uses 16-bit sample, but the sampling frequency is limited in most waveforms. K5000S/K5000R have only synthetic PCM waveforms. If you need acoustic emulation, go for K5000W. I recommend K5000W, but I enjoy programming K4, too. K4 is simpler and s...

I like my Super JV XP-50, and I'm thinking of replacing it with JV-1080, as it's smaller and looks good with its dark LCD display. Super JV, JV-2080 and XV/Fantom... all shares the same patch architecture, but they all sounds different. I like Super JV for its uniqueness of the sound. As for the EXP...

Thanks, piRoN. I tried to prove D-110 is still a unique and useful machine today. I'm glad that you like it too.

Thanks, nathanscribe and crystalmsc.
DSP2024P is not a very special machine, but with some contemporary effects, I think the older but unique synths like D-110 can be still useful.

Roland D-110 .mp3 page

Roland D-110 page is added to my site.
I uploaded a 8x multi-track demo made with Behringer DSP2024P.

Also I added YAMAHA SU700 .mp3s used as multi-FX for D-110.

I hope you'll enjoy the sounds of this cheapest synthesizer.

Microkorg has ring-mod with DWGS waves, and it can do some FM emulation.
MicroX seems to have many FM samples, and will do the job to some extent.
