Re: Musikmeese 2015 is next week...
I am seriously waiting for Novation to do a Poly Analog synth in the spirit of the BsII that would cost less than 1000. I tweeted at Novation the other day cause I was hounding them about a "Supernova V3" a while back whilst having my Nova IIXL serviced. I asked them about it and they replied "you ...

Re: Name of certain synth sound; on Jean Michel Jarre song
It's a simple string. Does not seem like a Solina or any Synth Ensemble but rather a sample based string or from an analogue synth . Could be any synth as pretty much any polyphonic synth can do that.

Re: 3-Oscillator Per Voice Polysynths??
Well Elka Syntex has 3 oscillators as well and fairly complex. Also are you referring to only true analogs or VA as well as you can find a lot of them with 3 osc : All Novation K/S station and Supernova, Alesis ION i think and Access Viruses.

Re: Selling on Fleabay - Any pointers?
Why not posting it on Gumtree.co.uk lots of vintage stuff there and a h**l bigger market. If you drop the price slightly you may get a buyer to take the ferry to pick it up cash in hand. I would go to UK this way if i had the only chance to get a rare synth , and the cs50 is a pretty rare one for sa...

Re: How did oldschool keyboardists afford so much gear?
Well some of them had rich parents and got some money for gear from them , then they released a couple of singles or albums and put all the money towards more gear - ex: Jean Michel Jarre. Think of it like this : if today you release an album and people start to see you as a raising star and your la...

Re: KORG SIX new exclusive products
...just got word that the full manual will be available as an iOS app only. Seems to me a great trick to loose customers , first bad decisions coming out from Korg since the whole analog revolution. Shows complete stupidity from their part if it is true indeed. 60% of the world does not use apple p...

Re: Roland SH2 Plugout
wow how disappointing , not only you have to pay for it 75€ (it should be free after paying 599) the interface of that system 1 is really bad. But for me in the Aira range only the TR8 is worth buying. hope the 707 update for it will be free though... PS: i hope someone can do a demo of the System 1...

Re: KORG SIX new exclusive products
So some good news ( at least to me ) I wrote in to Korg support with a couple questions .... the electribe's parts are all on separate midi channels or can be . Also though the synth engine has a poly limit of 4 voices per track or part the actual midi data in and out is not limited to 4 notes or a...

Re: Maxi Korg DV800 lower deck plays only 1 note
I'd say it's an easy fix and probably related to cold solder or loose cables/ Dirty contacts. Now corroded ones will be a h**l lot more difficult to fix but in fairness i never saw corroded contacts to a point it was not working... i bought a Polysix for 50€ 10 years ago because ' the keys don' work...

Re: The Official Oberheim OB-12 Thread
I had the synth with latest OS for a while and sold it with no regrets, here's why and sorry but this will be a bit negative :) - the CPU is way underpowered and not handling the features correctly. The unisono have notes switching on with delay which sounds really bad and makes the unison unusable....

Re: Price discrepancies?
Well in Ireland for example it pure greediness nothing more when across the sea in UK the same synth is sold half the price at times.
