Re: Modern monosynth prices VS polysynth prices

I would like to know how a Virtual analogue synth (like Korg King Korg or Nord lead ) can cost 1200€ when it's mainly software ??

Re: Synth prices and inflation

I bought a Jupiter-8 for $350 and a Arp 2600 for $400 back about 1988. Prices were low for a few years, and then they started back up. That's true , back in 1994 we went to a shop and found some analogs there , i remember asking for a Moog Prodigy and its price back then was 500€. Also remember tha...

Re: Bass Station II note priority

Nope it will play randomly any of the chord notes you will be pressing (probably will select the last pressed key). Which turns to be a solution as you can try to play the lowest not as last ... :D

Re: sub phatty vs. bass station II

May not be an issue for some, but build quality is a big issue for me. In this respect, the Sub is far superior to the Novation. Sub Phatty is built like a tank out of metal and rubber, while the Novation is all plastic. You are absolutely wrong , novation is built from Hard plastic and all it's kn...

Re: New analog Arturia synth?

It could be just a mockup someone made in photoshop. Wouldn't trust anything until Arturia comes out with real pictures. This could be just trolling that somehow got picked up as "the real deal". Agree i don't think all these comments from famous musicians ( wow, ...and now arturia bringing this !....

Re: New Novation Bass Station?

Forgot to add one more synth i tested alongside Bassstation: - Moog Sub Fatty : great Built quality , Nice sound overall , knobs work great (no much resistance though) sweet Moog sound but VERY expensive for what it is (in features - less then the Bassstation really) So i think i'll get a second han...

Re: New analog Arturia synth?

Well expected more , this is very ...dissapointing and feels like regressing really ??? Why would you do something simpler then simple ?

Unless it's for 199$ tops then it's another story :)

Re: New Novation Bass Station?

Got mine 4 days ago and it is a beautifull synth, nothing like the cheap BS1 . The plastic is a sturdy hard plastic and knobs are the best on any synth on the market , like on a Moog Sub fatty/voyager, very sturdy and have the resistance when turning them . Overall very well built synth. The sound i...

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

Just tested one today in the shop , was really enthusiastic but was extremely disappointed... the build quality is horrible and the small keyboard is ... small. Knobs are very wobbly. I think there was also an issue with the display model as it was very very noisy and had a kind of click when pressi...
