Re: Got Struthi?

About soldering the shruthi1. I never seen such nicely layed out boards in a diy project before. It is very straight forward and the assembling time for a novice is just a few hours. Great synth and a great project for a small amount of cash.

Re: New demo of my alternative midi-controller

Correct Joey. It was one of the things that inspired me. More in form of the Thunder-controller though that I mentioned earlier:

With the Manta and my controller I cover most of the bases and some more, so I don't miss having a Thunder that much really.

Re: Elektron Octatrack!

I can add that it is the end of another business year. If you have a company in Sweden that is not on the stock-exchange you usually don't wanna make a huge profit, as profit means taxes... Making a product-commercial is one way of spending money that otherwise would go straight to the government...

Re: New demo of my alternative midi-controller

Just make one yourself. I'm sure Mush won't mind me saying that you can get everything you need from Front Panel Express, Sparkfun and Doepfer. It's really not that hard, be a leader not a follower. +1 I provided the links on the CDM-link to the manufacturers. I can supply the Front Panel Express f...

Re: New demo of my alternative midi-controller

Very cool indeed. Could this be the future of synth control ? Back to the future maybe... I got really frustrated with the evolution of synthesis after reading "Analog days" (amazon link) . The description of Don Buchla's ideas for synthesizer control really got to me. So I started looking into stu...

TrondC wrote:WHEN WILL YOU START PRODUCING THEM AND HOW MUCH????
Never. The price would be too high. Like 1500$ish... per unit.

500$ in the hardware and electronics. So a run of just 20 would cost me 10000$...

Re: Elektron Octatrack!

That's exactly my point. My best bet is a three day shoot and about sixty grand. I recognize a few of the actors, they are SAG (or the UK equiv) so everyone got SAG minimum. Want me to go into details? i have a degree in this stuff.... It is nice and all that you recognize regular Swedish-no-name-a...

I dunno about the rat, it is great on guitar, not on 303s in my opinion.

New demo of my alternative midi-controller

http://www.vimeo.com/18122418 A little video of an improvisation jam on an alternative midi-controller. All sounds you hear is straight out of a Nord Modular G2, straight into the camera. No audio-editing whatsoever. The G2 is using 2 slots: The first for collecting and sorting out the data from th...

Maybe he is using it as a midi-controller... Or using the arpeggiator... Or even have a few poly-chained LPs...
