Alesis BitRMan

Anyone know what these are going for? I'm thinking about selling mine, and I've heard their fetching a pretty good price. I can't find one listed on EBay.

It's a cool box, but I found the manual to be poorly written and confusing. There's so much it can do. I bought mine used about 3 years ago for $300. It's definitely a keeper. Some of the sounds are pretty good.

You wouldn't need a Midi Controller for the Ion. I have not played an R3, but I own an Ion. It's quite good, and there are plenty of pots for most features you would ever need in performing. There's quite a bit of menus for deeper modulation, but no controller could get to those. Once set up, you wo...

You could input your bass signal into some software like Reaktor. It has some FX that are insane like Banaan Electronique or Lurker. There are so many in their library. But you will have to get a decent I/O to input into your computer. They aren't too expensive these days.

I'm interested in the Akai MPK49 which is shipping this month. It does everything but splits. It even has a phrase sampler (arp) as well as MPC pads. I talked to Akai today about it, and it seems like it will be pretty good. http://www.akaipro.com/images/akaiMESSE07HP.jpg Here are the specs: http://...

Good MIDI keyboard controller?

I'm looking for a good MIDI keyboard controller to interface with my laptop (Reaktor and Ableton Live) as well as my Waldorf Q and XT racks. Is there one that splits the keyboard and can assign pots CC#s? What do you recommend?

I've had no experience with a Minimoog D. I do own the Phatty and Voyager. Each has it's own character. The Phatty is definitely more aggressive. Rather than call it bland, I would describe the Voyager's sound as smooth. For what I do, it is my favorite synth. It's a true joy to play, and is like a ...

It's a bit thin sounding, but it is stereo and analogue. It's decent with beats.

I would think a band like DD would have the whole show (lights, sound, Synths, percussion, and all) to something like Digital Performer.
