Two versions of Akai s-612
I have two Akai s-612's. One has the port for using the commodore tape interface to store samples and the other doesn't. It doesn't even have the cut out in the sheet metal for it. It's not there at all. Anyone know the story behind this one? I haven't been able to find any info on this version. The...

I just posted something similar a few days ago. I assume you want a midi step sequencer, not CV. Also, I needed something you can program as it plays. http://www.vintagesynth.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=32555 I was told the Roland MC-303 transmits it's steps. I haven't followed up on it though. Very ...

It seems what you are interested in is being able to adjust the step pitch values while the sequencer is running. The Mobius has this feature but the interface is by buttons not knobs. You needn't use the Mobius' CV outs, the MIDI outs will work just fine with your Voyager. Yes, that is exactly rig...

Thanks for the reply. Didn't know about the doepfer. I'll have to check it out. Can't get analog haven to load i'll try later. I hope it's not too expensive.... That video was better than some, I just have a hard time hearing if the mobius will do what i want when it's attached to a 303 clone. I hav...

analog sequencer question
I want to use a hands on sequencer to do analog type sequencing like in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqjpvj2AbK8&feature=related I don't have a modular system, but I have a voyager that has CV inputs. Most sequencers seem to cost a fortune and the frostwave is discontinued. How about th...

ring mod and FMed waves are my favorite. I love the stupid sounds they make. I can't get enough! Other than that I seem to like square quite a bit. At the time I looked, Square /pulse was ranked high and unison saw low. That kind of suprises me. Unison saw was so popular. I hate unison saw....Nothin...

I have one of the first voyagers produced and have never heard of anything like that happening. Has it been abused? Maybe an old version OS? Is it a floor unit at guitar center where people play with settings they don't understand and get it all out of whack? My voyager has been totally reliable sin...
