just email DSI, odds are they can tell you how to fix it or send you parts. I understand that even if it's used, they are really helpful.

The only bad I have to say about the P8 and DSI is that I WANT EVERYTHING he makes snd I can't afford it all. I LOVE my DSI stuff. VCO, DCO, Digital who cares. They make such wonderful sounds. Honestly, the only trouble I have with the DSI sounds is that they can take over a mix. That's not really b...

I use Digital Performer for everything except for drums for some of my projects. I use an MPC for some drums. The hype about MPCs is true. They do (or allow you to do) something special to the beats.

you could buy 2 junos and use one for spare voice chips. I had one and loved it. Eventually sold it and don't regret it. I have a Virus C (indigo 2) that I created some very juno 106 patches. Very close. I had the two at the same time and created the patches side by side. The juno was much faster to...

I have done some remixes and what I do is just get the original vocal tracks and then compose my own music around it. I usually just use Acid. I do the same. get the vocal tracks from whoever and compose the rest. It might be cool to put in bits of the original or use a source material. I use Digit...

e-mu e6400 effects expansion

does anyone know if the e6400 classic uses the same effects card as the ESI series? I've looked everywhere for an old part number or some info detailing that, with no luck.

I agree, it's plenty. I recorded for years with no trouble on a lesser mac than that. Correct too on the soft instruments. You can use them though. If you're using a couple, you may notice some slowdown. That's a good computer. I use the dual 867 for all my stuff and have borrowed a single 867 (less...

My favorite solution for the programming is the Peavey PC1600x. Lots of faders to control different parameters. I'm sure other midi controllers would work fine too. Makes the Pulse much faster to edit although I don't mind the Waldorf matrix type editing. I have a knob / potentiometer that is a litt...

Actually I should give the V-synth some credit.....you will be able to make music using all of these cool sounds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbiEkbcUbFU DS Come on, It took some incredible synthesis power, serious effort and programming abilities and to make the V-synth sound like a $10 casio. :...

the EPS sounds interesting. I like ensouiq stuff but they seem to have so many reliability problems. I may look around for an EPS. I had an SK-1. thrift store 99 cents. I had to let it go. EBay prices were 50+ dollars...had...to...sell! I did like the sound of the old Roland. Roland (digital) filter...

no problem. It is welcomed. I'm still considering it. I originally wanted an emax (sampler with analog filter!). An emax 2 would do also. Nothing is as good as a sampler with keys. I have that disconnect issue some people have with racks although my Microwave 1 doesn't seem to cause that same discon...

it is precisely that imperfection that I seek in its sound--for specialty application only, of course. The real beauty in the V-Synth is its ability to completely mangle sounds. looks like we all use the V synth in the same way! To offer another solution, Any interest in that new Virtual JP8? I hav...

Actually (part 2), it's not a VA at all. It's totally its own breed of cat.

I ADORE mine for its mangling might.
I was postinng as you wrote this. You said it much better than me. I agree in full!
