I used to own one and I didn't like the sound at all except for some cool bass sounds that I was somehow able to coax from it. And all the presets sounded like they were trying to make some kind of stevie wonder 'funk' synth. It was c**p.

Andy used the Prodigy on Speak & Spell but around the time it came out he got the Source and used that live and on Broken Frame.

And it probably is the Jupiter or maybe 100F doing the just cant get enough riff.

I'm a piano player and I love monosynths. It's just another way of expressing yourself after the dohnanyi studies and haydn! I think a lot of piano players probably appreciate what you can and cannot do on monosynths if they're into synth/electronic music.

I'd say go for the Korg. The B-52's used one though their synth bass lines started to sound much better when they got a Jupiter 8.
