Re: Why You post music? AND to Youtube mainly? Out of curios

Again, youtube is just another tool in a musician/bands tool box - when combined with a main band page, a facebook site, bandcamp, twitter etc it ALL works to increase the band's exposure and their main page. Re: Why You post music? AND to Youtube mainly? Out of curios

In answer: 1. - youtube has all the video tools and hosting, stats etc, saving a band's own website lots of costs designing, updating, co...

Re: Boss DR660 display problem

No, not really, it seemed to be power pack related, as I wasn't using the original Boss AC12V power pack. I used a DC 12V pack instead, which does work, but sometimes I get the display problem with it. I've since retired my DR660s now for better equipment, they're in my "out-dated, but can't let go ...

Re: Yamaha RX-5 ROM format parser/extractor

The actual raw samples, especially of those 80s era sampled machines, sound very different from the sound that comes out of the analog outputs. People have extracted the TR707 wav files and found them to be almost unrecognisable. 4-bit samples compressed to within an inch of their lives! The compand...

Re: New song "Minimalia" by Atomic Deluxe

Thanks for your encouragement! This duo was formed in response to people saying about my other band "Warning Will Robinson" that "you know, you guys would be great if you did some serious stuff": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0HUr55tY8E&t=3s So we said, "OK you want serious, here you go. Re: Dedicated Juno 106 Sequencer?

I believe the MC500 won't remember its sequences when you turn it off - you have to load them off floppy disk whenever its switched on....am I correct on that? Big memory though - 100,000 notes. When the floppy disk dies you're stuffed. I have 3 MMT8s - one is a black one. Late model grey ones (OS v...

Re: what synth? old rave bass noise...

That's a standard square wave simulation sound from an FM synth, with an operator acting as a filter. My Yamaha TX802 and TX81z modules and Casio VZ10M churn those exact sounds out all the time, I have a stack of them I've made up as presets for the occasion of needing that sound. The "harmonic eIIO...

Re: Highly Liquid UMR2

UMR2 and all of the other Highly Liquid products are still around, they're here:

http://www.highlyliquid.com

Although they seem to be sold out of UMR2's at this point in time.

I have several UMR's in my casios - they're great!
