There was a thread talking about this as I remember.. In mi case, It sometimes happens by any small vibration on the case when playing, which produce a slider/pot movement detection and so, the parameter drastically change to the currently slider position (for instance, if it is the Filter cutoff, t...

What a successful thread :D Well, problem is not fixed, but I got another emax, cleaner and in better shape. It is the same PCB version and Rev model, altought I discovered some differences. It is a Version 2 Rev C digital board. But these are the differences: 24 pin socket ROM instead 28. Echip mou...

From the www.emulatorarchive.com "Emulator II+ The Plus model of the Emulator II has an additional 512 Kbytes of sample memory bank, which enables a separate set of sounds to be loaded in parallel to the first memory bank. You can switch between them, but you can not use both together, or have sampl...

(...) If you have revision b or c, then you can install SCSI (B being more difficult than C) ONLY IF you have, or can find, certain chips. Just pointing that the versions that can be upgraded are Version 2 and Version 3 instead Revision A, B, C, etc. In fact, I own a Version 2 Rev C digital board (...

On Emax I, diagnosis menu is reached in PROGRAM mode, then selecting #9 afair.

Try downloading the OM and Diagnostics manual from www.emulatorarchive.com , there is a section for that menu.

JP8000 crashes my computer and my pro tools system too. And it doesn't always happen. So there is not to have any particular reason or setting change. That roland send lots of midi commands and pt acts as a mirror, so there is a loop and system crash. You can set MIDI THRU OFF in your PT midi menu. ...

PC1x Users: Velocity question

Hi there. Just bought one of these kurzweil. Have any user experienced that around the 3rd octave (talking about midi, so it is below preset buttons), some keys must be pressed harder than others for reaching the same velocity values, or it is just mine?. A little bit difference but noticeable by my...

I guess your tech knows about the Polysix battery change. Remind him that he has to do more work, as the lithium batteries are not rechargeable and the Ni Cd one that polysix mounts, is a rechargeable one. So he should do some mods in the PCB for avoiding voltage coming back to the batt (availables ...

That's a cool tip, crow.

But I 'm afraid it is the same problem. If the post containing the link is deleted by age, It will be lost too.

Anyway I will save my post text in php format into a text doc, for re-posting if neccesary with a simple copy/paste.

Hah sure. I've been thinking about a "Little handyman place" with some easy jobs like a broken/lost key, or even major improvements (for more qualified and electronics knowledgers) like the Akai S3000 XL internal hd mounting process I posted in Samplers months ago. It is a pity to write the same eve...

PS:
It would be great that these kind of topics could be sticked in somewhere. I posted a similar thread months (and lots of) ago with that pics for a DX7 keyboard disassembly and remounting, and it must be erased for server space issues I guess.

I know quite well the DX7 mechanism. There is a "spring" (really a metal piece that do the job). Surely, that metal piece is lost under the key. Here you have some pics: http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3323/limpiezasinte010eg9.th.jpg http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/2822/limpiezasinte008lk6.th....
