Re: Cleaning paint off a Crumar Performer

Thanks for the advice.
At the moment I'm looking for a cheap option, just to try to get it someway back to its original state.

Cleaning paint off a Crumar Performer

Hi, I have a woking, though in need of service, Crumar Performer that someone has painted all the control panel white.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice on getting the paint off or if I should try to track down a replacement part.
Many thanks!

SCI Drumtraks vs SCI Tom

Hi,
I have an SCI Tom with basic percussion cartridge and have the chance to get a Drumtraks from a friend but can't justify (afford) to have both... I'm keen to hear any personal opinions of which is best and what you prefer about each?
thanks

Re: Sequential Circuits Six Trak & Roland TR-707

Hi! All is not lost. It depends on the OS version of your six-trak. As far as I remember you have to turn the speed knob fully anti/counter-clockwise for the arp or seq to sync to external midi clocks, and not clockwise. My six-trak used to only sync to a midi clock sent from my SCI Tom but not from...

SCI six-trak mono mode question?

Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help me. I'm using the 6 midi tracks of an Elektron Monomachine to sequence my Sequential Circuits Six-trak in mono mode. So each track plays a single monophonic voice and each voice is a different patch. It works great but there is a little problem, I can't work out ...

Re: Arthur Russell synths & drum machine

Thats the pic, thanks.

On repeated listening I would say, aside from the percussion and wind instruments, this fantastic song is CZ-101 and SCI drumtraks.

Arthur Russell synths & drum machine

Anyone with a much better ear than me have any idea what he used on this song? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqiqrRlQt5g Here are my guesses: Synth: My initial guesses are Casio CZ-101 (or 1000/3000/5000) that plays the interesting melody that switches between smooth and nasally towards the end of ...

Re: Hypnotic pad sound in "Mr Fingers - Can You Feel It" (19

When I had the pleasure of meeting him he said that the bassline for that track and several other early songs were done on a "Roland Juno 2", in this interview (http://www.redbullmusicacademy.com/lectures/larry-heard--gentle-giant) he says similar but goes on to say that the "Juno 2" had no midi and...

Are any Eurorack modules similar to the Roland System 100m?

Hi, I have a Roland System 100 101 Keyboard and have always loved the sound of the Roland system 100m (Especially Chris & Cosey). I am looking to start a compact modular system in Eurorack format and, as the System 100m is out of my price range, was wondering if any Eurorack modules on the market ha...
