The Filter FM & four Mod Amount destinations are nice indeed, however I don't think this is a PEK replacing board. Dave was smart, these two boards are made for different markets. It certainly won't be replacing my PEK, however it will probably be replacing some of my other stuff (pending some demo...

You were saying before that it is in need of some repairs.

What is wrong with you? What do you define as analog??? A wave accumulator is not an analog oscillator in the sense that something is charged and discharged by controlled voltage. You can think of it as a look-up table that is driven by pulses to create a waveform. Changing the speed of the pulses ...

What shape is your A6 in now?

There appears to be no FM on the P08. One of several dealbreakers. The Andy has so many FM options, it's terrifying. Yeah, but if you move the A6 from its normal resting spot you put it in great peril. If you sweat on it at a gig the sweat leaves holes in the case. If the air is humid, the A6 start...

Re: why i was turned off.....

ok, my understanding that the evolvers used the same DCO's as the VS ... I have zero knowledge on the VS's ....reguardless....I have had synths with both VCO's and DCO's and the VCO's I perferred. . I'm still let down and turned off but I am going to check it once A.H. gets them in Haha! You STILL ...

That is a tough one. I was originally going to replace my PEK but think this looks like it might be a better fit...especially as it comes with 8 voices standard and I was mainly using the PEK as an analog poly. Also, in addition to a number of hardwired mod sources, including OSC --> Filter Cutoff ...

Not from me because this is the other half of what I'm thinking, too. It's been a tough few days figuring out the best path for moi.

to name one thing i already feel P'08 does better, even only from demos - it has extended bandwith in HF, and more resolution or "juice" in fast modulations when they happen up there, compared to A6.

What he really needs right now is for someone to tell him that he needs to NOT left-justify the content pages on his new site. Yeesh.

I was interested in the variety of sounds in the demo clips, but I thought the instrument sounded thin and kind of clinical. That may work fine for many things, especially in a busy arrangement, or in conjunction with outboard signal processing (see: Nord Lead), but for raw tone, I don't think it's...

For good reason. You come on here with like twelve posts and start trolling with this "leaked information" because you read too much between the lines in an old Tom Oberheim interview. Yeah, I noticed that, too - a new user participating almost exclusively in the new Prophet thread. And I'm being g...
