I would compare it to a Pro One. In fact, I DID compare it to a Pro One. The Pro One lost.

Well, the all-analog thing threw my next guess out the window.

Is it CEM based?

Hmm... DB is good at this stuff. "Storm" = thunder and lightning. Thunder goes "BOOM" = "Boomchick". Or, and I've learned my first hunch is usually more accurate with DB's teases, there's a different product from DSI called "Storm" or something similar. A 3 tap delay with analog filters and distorti...

R U HoTt BUtZ? Real analog doing real analog

Spreading my seed across the internet for whatever it's worth. I haven't spammed a tune lately, so I thought I'd share. Deja vu.

I said analogue section, not the whole synthesizer with digital routings included. In the video I posted earlier in this thread, it has Dave Smith saying just that. If its wrong, he should probably email sonic state to stop hosting that video, so people don't continue to get the wrong idea from it....

Totally. I agree. May I also add basically any Roland ROMpler.

Well, this thread is finished at this point. What's next?

Thanks sizzle. Thats good to hear about the user interface. I think what I actually might consider is permentantly hooking up a Behringer Rotary Control Interface and using that to control all the VA parameters (at least). DUnno how that would work out really. I think the control surface is unneces...

i want to know how multisampling is implimented. i too have been considering cleaning up my setup. I would check out the Fusion sampling guide on the Alesis site. Not the manual, but the sampling guide. I would THEN look at the manual. For me, to get samples in the machine is a little convoluted - ...

Re: Alesis Fusion- Should I sell all my s**t to get one?

As a synth nut- For you, does the Fusion cut it? Also, I loves my knobs. I treasure each one. Does the lack of knobs on a fusion make it difficult to work with (again, as a synth player, not a keyboard or piano player that doesn't give two shits either way). Cheers fellaz EDIT: in particular, a lot...

Is the build quality of the prophet 600 that bad? I'm aware that the pro-one has its issues but what specifically is questionable about the buld of the prophet 600? I've rebuilt three of both and let me say that the P6 is a much more robust build-quality. Between the P600's membrane panel (but, FWI...

Thanks for the input. I haven't made my mind up yet. I just think there are a few features of the P-600 that are really appealing to me, If you're into modulation then, yes, the P600 will provide you a little more than what the P6 does. However, I would advise you not to trade. They sound NOTHING a...
