What do people think in terms of Logic 7 vs Logic 8? I can't stand the f**k apple Final Cut interface after using Emagic's Logic since the early days. I am still using v6.4.3 for that reason and have no problems. Wonder if I should go straight to v8 on the newer setup I am putting together. All feed...

To those of you who are using it, what are the specs of your Macs? I have a Core Duo Intel 1.83 GHz with 2 GB of RAM and I'm concerned that this machine may be under-powered, even though it meets the minimum requirements. I'm not going to be using a lot of the higher-end features--more or less song...

It just seems like it lacks features that the MPC has like its huge library of sounds that akai has had for years. Other than that I dont know something about it just was lame for me. .wavs? I believe the Linndrumm will be able to play them too. Sounds like you don't know what you're talking about....

The idea to skip MIDI seems kind of retarded to me. Who cares if it uses digital circuits to convert MIDI to CV? Something has to do it anyway, and if you play it live and record it it still has to get digital at some point. Digital is not bad, deciding on skipping it all together just seems cheap ...

this would still be a very useful machine - except for the fact that it has 10.5 installed!! if you have disks to install back to 10.4.x, you would be able to run quite a lot of instruments and plugs in a DAW of your choice you could also supplement the power of the machine with a DSP card - UAD, TC...

It really depends on if the chip is a french fry or a crisp. I find that chip shop chips tend to be fatter and warmer, but you still get the little crispy burnt ones in the corner of the bag. Hope that helps. like when you get a bag of cashews from the "nuts for nuts" guys on the street and there a...

This is an interesting machine... I see the buttons are labelled chromatically... how good are the jomoxes in general at making sounds that can be used for melodies? I mean, I know you can make the BD into a nice bassline...but how about higher pitched stuff? 999 has limited sequencer for external ...
