Re: What will Korg release next?

A strain of H2N2 that causes all who are infected to: go mental over largely unimpressive synth hardware run their mouths about how Korg is really in it because they give .0014% of a s**t about the electronic music scene as a whole instantly become an expert about a synth they've never heard nor pu...

Re: does any synth sound better to your ears than an Omega 8

yes - this was my experience with the omega - static sounds sounded great (though I wouldn't describe the synth as having an edge)...but modulation sounded a bit strange. for my ears i thought modulation on Omega sounded pretty good, just wasn't damn enough! other than the OSC FM and Filter FM, it ...

Re: does any synth sound better to your ears than an Omega 8

i've personally owned both the Andromeda and the Omega 8, 3-4 years each. they both have very different tone. A6 has way more modulation like almost too much. Omega 8 has too little modulation, and live tweaking on many of the knobs just never felt right. In terms of the pure tone, Omega 8 was real...

Re: New Elektron box--Analog Four

Wanted to post my opinion, but don't have time now to read this very long thread. I sold a bunch of stuff, and after declaring to the world several times that I'd never buy another Elektron instrument, I started becoming intrigued, and I bought one. I am thus far very favorably impressed. The sound ...

WTT: Octatrack for Schrittmacher sequencer

That pretty much says it. Let me know if you have a schrittmacher and would rather have an octatrack, and would like to work out a trade.

I'm in San Francisco.

Re: Best step sequencer for cv/gate analog mono synths

I've never set it up in Logic, but there is a section in the manual about how to use the au plugin with logic. My guess is that you can download the manual.

Re: Best step sequencer for cv/gate analog mono synths

Since you're on a mac, you might want to look into Numerology. You can now run it as a plugin.

It can get a bit complex - they probably have a demo that you can try out (I don't remember).

But it is an extremely flexible step sequencer that would be great for a monosynth.

Re: Sequencer Talk

I like the Orb concept, though you'd have to scroll through each note to reach the one you want. Everything seems good on it except I think it is limited in sequencing and that note thing is a killer for me (I hate scrolling just to get a certain note - it needs a dedicated knob). I didn't want to ...

Re: Xpander Vs SunSyn vs ???

That is an awsome deal. To bad I don't have my funds prepared. If you really want it, and can have the funds soon + make a deposit, make an offer. Sometimes the seller will need the money immediately, but sometimes he'll be cool with an arrangement. I think that it's a bit harder to sell expensive ...
