Re: what kind of synth makes these sounds?

Roland D-50ish,
the mix of sampled waveforms and smoooooth filtering.

And yeah, those SY-55s

Maybe a Kurzweil with a poly-analog synth as well?

Studio 440 Factory Samples (AAMOF Any older factory samples)

Yo doggs!

Does anybody have the original factory samples for the Studio 440.
I love those authentic 80s sounds.

Even the original MPC 60 sounds and maybe some Korg DDD-1 (from the cards)
and all those sample based bastards

Lemme know. :)

Re: Soundmaster Stix st 305-thread

I just joined the Stix club, I actually got two of these puppies, one super mint in the box and another one that I was planning on modifying to bits.. I've found out that the adapter is indeed (wrong value here). UPDATE 2014!!! -see next comment for details I was just wondering if it'd be possible t...

Six-Trak Arpeggiator Sync (Trigger)

I'm trying to send my Six-Trak a click from my MD to advance the internal arpeggiator, but I'm not getting anywhere (it's easy on the SH-101, I just send a click to the EXT CLK IN and bam, it works). Does anybody have a rig like this? The Six-Trak's arp synced via the Footswitch input? From the manu...

Re: Chip Tunes Drums?

Check out the uCApps MIDIBox SID site:
http://www.uCApps.de/midibox_sid.html

It has a drum engine built in and I think the SammichSID does as well,
that'd be the cheapest route if you're looking for hardware..

Re: Modify old drum machine (tempo click in/out?)

"VR's" as in voltage regulators? Odd. Schematics? If so, please share. I'm guessing the LM8471 takes a clock pulse signal and chops it into musically meaningful divisions. So if you've got an oscilloscope you could probe the pins of LM8471 till you find a steady-looking clock that follows tempo. Th...

Re: Modify old drum machine (tempo click in/out?)

hah, that was actually an old post by me (the one on MS). I opened him up and there are a lot VR's in there (Snare, Bass, Noise, HC, LC, etc. -I'm checking these out later) and the main chip in it is a Sanyo LM8471, but I can't find a data-sheet for it :( I found a description .pdf which reads: "Rhy...

Modify old drum machine (tempo click in/out?)

I have this old Multivox FR-3 which I love. I was wondering if I could somehow put a clock input on it? (or even a clock output) Bypass the onboard clock and have the jack/input advance it one step at a time? Similar to the SH-101's CLK Input http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_HzO0qUnejWw/SVTKQqolUFI/AAAAAAA...

SCI Six-Trak Hanging-Note-Syndrome - Fix?

When I sequence my Six-Trak (from my Monomachine, polyphonically) it sometimes hangs on notes until I stop the sequencer (double-stop/force note off feature).

Does anyobody know what causes this in the Six-Trak?

Any fixes?
Maybe it's the O.S. on my Six-Trak, it has an early serial number...

Thanks!

Re: Adding a keyboard to an analog module (Synare PS-1)

I seem to remember discussing this with a friend who said it's not possible to get the synare to track pitch without adding some whole circuit or something. It was never made to be used with cv/gate and I think it's not really possible. I could be wrong though. Oh boy, I hope it is possible, it wou...
