Re: Korg Micro Sampler

I could be wrong but I think each bank is its own sequencer track. There's a knob that seems to indicate that.

Re: Hardware Sampler with the most hands-on interface?

sample start point can't be assigned to lfo. One thing I find useful is that if you sequence 4 variations of a hit, for example, and resample it - the start point knob is able to record motion sequence data so you put the resampled 4 hit sequence on a part and if you put enough space between hits, ...

Thanks I appreciate the praise. That one is pretty old, like 3 years I think. I should probably get back into drawing on a daily basis. It would be nice to pick up animation as a skill

Re: Korg Micro Sampler

Are those ribbon controllers at the top of it? Anyway, I think this is a pretty interesting instrument. If it's 400$ or less, it makes sense. I wish. Impretty sure that's just part of the mp3 player well. The way a lot of korg stuff is a mish mash frankenstein of their other products I'm surprised ...

I just hope they kept at least the the pattern set function.
That would be a deal breaker for me

Re: Korg Micro Sampler

I like how it looks. I think it sounds like a good idea. Even if the samplers architecture is as simple as an old school sampler where the most complex editting you can do is loop points the way I figure it is, if someone told me that there was a small portable keyboard with a sampler comparable to ...

Re: your drum machine

Been thinking of the ESX-1 lately. Any reason not to get one? Ha do it. Get extra memory cards. I didn't think the noise floor was so bad as long as your samples were clean and you don't over do it on your levels. The few times I noticed it a little eq took it out just fine. I remember you used to ...

Re: novation midi controller assign

its probably something in the settings of whatever you're using as a daw. its been awhile since i bought mine but i seem to remember that if certain midi communications werent up right it gave me a lot of s**t like you were describing. and make sure everything on your computer has been updated to th...

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?

diezdiazgiant - have you spent much time on the Elektron User forums? There's a fair bit of good stuff on there, if you look around. There was one good post on GS once - it was in a thread of the ususal bitching about how people need a particular piece of equipment, it went along the lines of "I ho...

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?

I dunno, getting 2.5MB chips for the MD wouldn't really be any cheaper than 512MB ones these days. im sure theres a bit of cheap surplus from when 2.5 mb chips of ram were still being produced in large quantity but probably not enough to offset the value of what you get compared to how much the raw...

Re: Looking for a piece of gear for live...

I agree with you. I think perhaps it would be a lot more fun to get into breakbeat style a la Crystal Method, Prodigy, etc when using the APC40. Maybe some weird hybrid, breaktrance or something heh. Anyway, I have another question. Lets say I was playing a bassline on a keyboard while a drum beat ...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

I've been seeing a lot of people trying to get rid of their mpc2000 at prices as high as 700. Usually no mention on if there are any upgrades included, or anything included with it to make it worth such a shitty price

Re: Sample storage - SCSI stuff and so forth

Mmm, those drives for the mpc2000 have got me interested in picking up a cheap mpc... But anyways, anyone know if there's any sort of adapter for mini sd to smartmedia cards? Google didn't give me any results but I'm hoping it exists... It occured to me that if there was, with my phone I would be ab...

Fun stuff, splitting bass sounds doesn't seem to work in an harmonic way any of the times that I've tried it.
f**k fun results with sounds with more highs in them.
