Re: Need help with fxpansion guru .....

there are 2 ways.

1. envelope. turn down the release, decay, and/ sustain to taste.
2. just change the end point.

Re: woo i finally snagged a sequential circuits six trak!

oh i havent been using any midi with it. h**l i barely tweak the presets on this thing.
i considered it but all of its charm to me is just how simple and dirty it sounds.
its fun just spending an afternoon jamming rythyms out over a simple loop

Re: juno 60 vs jx3p vs polysix.

if i were you i would just buy a jx3p on account of it being cheapest,
try it out for a bit. if you dont like it - sell it and buy another synth.

woo i finally snagged a sequential circuits six trak!

so simplistic but so under rated, its just such a fun synth for basic rythyms to supplement other stuff.
It goes very well with ms2k sequences.

Re: Hazardous asbestos in old synthesizers?

no, its that even after knowledgable people answered your question that you still had doubts.
asbestos isnt an issue in synths, and unless the battery is leaking your synth having a peculiar musk isnt an issue.

having further doubts just sounds like statements from a nuerotic hypochondriac

Re: Hazardous asbestos in old synthesizers?

youre a panzy.

use some deductive logic - asbestos is insulation, insulation retains heat, synths and most electronics dont function well with excess heat... so why would a synth be loaded asbestos?

Re: Korg MS2000 - a classic in the making?

you can't midi the mod sequencer to other devices. It's for modulation only. What a drag. I just tried to midi the sequencer to the Moog and no dice. Maybe someone knows how to 'adapt' the mod sequencer somehow for external synths. Still keeping it. yeah that was a huge let down when i found out yo...

Re: Korg MS2000 - a classic in the making?

Four-note poly ... end of story for me ... I had one for a while I found on the cheap yet mint ... (Traded it for an EMX-1 that I find far more useful ... ) Yup, five notes is better than four. ;) It actually makes a world of difference because you can play a chord with one hand and an internal wit...

Re: Korg MS2000 - a classic in the making?

i dont mind the polyphony as i usually use it as 2 duophonics, simple rythym with the mod sequence, or i just use all 4 voices for rythmic chords. its fun and immediate, i dont see myself selling it anytime soon. my main complaint would be the quality of those awful effects and the small knobs. the ...

haha. tell me - will i experience sheer transcendental ecstacy, which borders on religous epiphony - when i touch those pads? will the pads sexually arrouse me?

Dude that's cool as h**l.
If you add handles you should add a corner piece to cover the se/korg so its like one of those 60s suitcase keyboards.

Re: Looking for a step sequencer

lol i love that someone asks about sequencing whats considered a 'consumer level' va and people recommend a boutique level analog sequencer like the genoqs. kinda overkill dont you think? if its for writing i would go with a qy100. if its more for jamming and mucking around with friends i love the e...
