I've been trying to save for a Voyager for about a year now. Every time my savings account gets close, it's completely depleted again. I'm starting once again from zero...
And yeah, not the most pleasant thread title.

Right, the digital effects send and return like you say. You can switch off the digital effects with a dedicated button and they are completely out of the loop. There is also analog distortion, but you can mix this with the clean signal if you want. Don't forget it also has a pair of aux outs (no di...

Then it occured to me; For $700 less and half the voices, I could have all the same oscs and filters but add in the cool digital oscs, feedback, FM, HP filter and distortion and end up with 4 Evolvers. It's telling that a few people have said that they finally got their CS-80 and sold it due to reliability issues. What's the point of owning a broken synthesizer that spends its time in and out of the shop unless you're planning to sample it and move on. You could possibly rent one for a project, Mi...

My TX802 sounds much nicer than FM8. It sounds 3D, where FM8 is 2D or 1/2D. I got the plug-in with Komplete and played with it for 10 minutes, haven't launched it since. Plus, the hardware is cheaper and holds its value. And you can easily run it through a filter or stomp box for even more fun. Go f...

This probably doesn't count since I JUST got it this weekend, but I'm really digging John Bowen's Solaris. No, I'm not the first on the block with the hardware synth, I got the Scope plug-in. I only have enough DSP to run two voices (usually in unison mono) but the sound is absolutely nut rattling. ...
