Re: New Future Retro product coming.

Straight from Jered's mouth. "The new product is planned to be announced as soon as this evening, tomorrow, or saturday. And these units will be ready to ship at that time." Is this BS or did he actually say this? My buddy is good friends with the owner of novamusik, & he was told that FR was about...

Re: Name the synth AGAIN

Unless it was multitracked, it is polyphonic, so that excludes the EMS & EML. I can't really guess beyond that as I've never had the opportunity to play, or hear, any of those instruments first hand.

Re: The Rozzbox / synth design

You're posting in the wrong forum, my friend. You should check out the DIY forum over at electro-music.com. You will find many many many technical discussions over there, and if you're not finding what you are looking for, I'm sure someone will have an answer for you if you ask.

A coffee cup warmer...

But really, I like the reverse reverb (or delay, whatever it is - I haven't used mine in over a year)

and i'm quite sure the right channel is the real one. it sounds fatter. at least the kick. i dont know what speakers u guys have, but theres definitely a difference. Well, through my focal twin's, the character sounds the same to me. The only noticeable differences I was able to discern was between...

Re: Doepfer A-100 VS Roland System 100

Not to sound rude, but have you heard a roland system 100 or sh5. I haven't, but from what I've read around these parts they sound different from each other. So with that being said, if all 3 (the 2 rolands and the doepfer) sound different from each other so how can you really compare them? It's lik...

Most certainly! The pro one definitely has a mind of its own sometimes, the 777 too. The modular is pretty damn stable compared to it's siblings, though.

Re: Taking the SE1X plunge!

I think the SE1X is a great sounding synth. VERY aggressive/gritty/punchy. I'm surprised that people here don't talk about them more. I personally think the SE1X is much better sounding than the Little Phatty - plus it doesn't have that ridiculous name. Regarding the keyboard version... well, if you...

Re: Basic effect stack for Poly Evolver, Nord Lead?

Thanks for the thoughts! Can you guys recommend some of your favorite filterbanks that make great preowned values? I pretty much only buy preowned. I would try the following, it would be pretty cheap provided you got some pawn shops in your area. Get a cheap microphone, plug it into a recorder, wra...

Re: Spectralis II

I've been on the fence over a spectralis for several years now. The ONLY reason I have not purchased it was due to my trepedation over its incomplete OS. If the OS has all promised features on the day of its release, I may finally break down and pick one up... That is unless the Linndrum has similar...

Re: Thoughts on the Red Witch Empress Chorus?

I don't need a full Hawkwind-on-meth level of quasi-flangey chorus, but I do want fullness, richness and a sweet shimmer. I did not get that from the Empress.... As for the other units you've tested, I can't really compare them to the Empress as I've never used them. Have you checked out the Delux ...

Re: Basic effect stack for Poly Evolver, Nord Lead?

I would say, "simply get the effects you like" :) I know that sounds like a BS answer, but seriously..... seriously..... everyone has their own preference when it comes to effects (as well as everything else for that matter). Go with reverb & delay. If those aren't for you, get a flanger, or if that...
