The filter has 128 steps in its movement, and there is noticable stepping if you have the resonance up high and sweep slowly :/ yeah I really dig playing w/ the cutoff on synths but no dice on the K... I have been instead using a filter wah. My favorite part of the synth are the drum maps, it's str...

I sold my OB-12 for the KS and it was one of the greatest moves I've done. Instantly feel in love with it once I started editing it. im even more curious now! Like someone said, presets can't be judged. Start editing and then judge. Presets are nice basic trance stuff, but the 24 different ...

Novation K Station and KS4/5 user thoughts.
Hey all, I passed up a KS4 a while back- shortsightedly turned off by the trance presets and one note arpeggiator jams, I let it slip by... A few months ago I picked up a K station on the cheap and have been getting a lot of use out of it for nice clean punchy bass and surprisingly moving gli...

If I'm not mistaken the Macintosh startup/ shutdown noise was composed on a Wavestation. - on a trivia side note, windows os jingles were composed by Eno! I really tried to love it but I had a hard time scrolling and menu diving with so many knob riddled oldies around- I should really look into the ...

I try to eq out the noise when recording and then if its to quiet gain stage... works unless your doing more than a couple of layers w/ the same source, I also record direct to interface a lot which helps. I also have a 'quiet' amp, loud as you want, but sometimes forget its on! gotta love O.G. Musi...

or being clogged to death by tonnes of emo hairspray  My pick: - Nord Lead. - Both the mono and poly keyboard Evolvers. - Novation KS series and X-Station. When people realise that they're far more than trance machines, they'll get attain underrated classic status. Really loving the K station,...

I'm in the same boat as you. I use a spring @ home for outer space, but when I'm playing live I dont want to drag it w/ me. So I tend to put an shortish analog delay(dod585 or bossdm2 usually) after the zilla in the chain and it warms up nicely and is still controllable, but easily not if thats your...

slow gear is kind of pointless to me, it just looks fun. would be hella easier to just use a volume pedal or any number of my synths. the guyatone was the best ive used and it was cheap used. Volume pedal is better imho if your playing guitar w/ any kind of dynamics, I did'nt find it useful for syn...
