Emulator X3 Libraries question

I have Emulator X3 and have bought a few libraries. I have a few questions 1. Is the Modern Symphonic Orchestra good? I have the Kontakt stock samples but for some reason I don't find them very playable. The demo on the site makes it hard to tell. 2. The sample packs on DSF https://www.digitalsoundf...

Re: Roland U20 Low Battery

thanks. I've now retired it as increasing numbers of keys stopped working and it was my midi keyboard. I've not used the sounds for years so it's now in storage.

Re: Here are the Emax II Library samples!

many thanks Desmond, I've just bought Emualtor X3 and it looks as if it can import them via the bundled translator. Kontakt should be able to load them also so I can load them into that too.

Re: U20 - semi weighted keyboard?

thanks for that reply - I'm a little wary of picking up another vintage synth - if it goes phut then I don't have a keyboard for anything so I'd prefer something new and hopefully more reliable.

U20 - semi weighted keyboard?

Does anyone know for sure if it is a semi-weighted keyboard? I have the manual which doesn't mention the keyboard action. The VSE listing doesn't say either. I use a Roland U20 I use as a master keyboard. Unfortunately it's in terminal decline and I need to get a new keyboard - but I'd like one with...

Waldorf Microwave - dumping sounds to Midi

hi all, forgive the really basic question - I'm really not very knowledgable re midi. I'm trying to dump the sounds from my microwave onto my PC as a midi file. I know I've done it before but since then I've changed computer, audio interface, DAW - more or less everything. I have the Waldorf Microwa...

Re: Roland U20 Low Battery

hi, thanks for the reply. It has a few other issues (like one note in the middle is dodgy) and I think the battery is soldered and looking previously at simple repairs it seems it's not so simple.

thanks again, I'll simply leave it!

Roland U20 Low Battery

I'm getting a "low battery" warning on my Roland U20. Does anyone know if that means it will stop sending midi? I don't have any user patches and I don't use the sounds from it - I simply use it as a master midi keyboard. If it does mean it will stop working entirely does anyone know the kind of tim...

Re: How many of you still have your first synth?

Yes. I bought my Roland SH2 new in 1980. I got it serviced a couple of years ago - don't use it much but I sometimes use it for sequenced lines as it has a special sound I'm used to working with. Won't ever sell it. I also have a CSQ100 sequencer I bought a year or so after.

Z plane filters

I'm thinking of picking up one of the E-mu samplers/ROMplers - but the most important aspect to me would be the z plane filters as in the ones on the Morpheus that go from one filter type to another over time. I see many E-mu products with z-plane filters but there is a suggestion in some of the stu...
