Re: Quasimidi Sirius Problem

Chers for that, the EEPROM seems okay. Can you advise on dissembling the unit? The side panels seem attached by allen keys, do I need remove them, and is access achieved from removing the top panel? Thanks, Simon Simon - I'm going from memory here, but you do need to remove the side panels. After y...

Re: Quasimidi Sirius Problem

Double check all the connectors on the boards. Also check the EEPROM on the bottom of the unit. I reseated a bunch of connectors on mine and it took care of some bizarre behavior.

Re: Dave Smith Mopho x4 vs. Studiologic Sledge

I'm gonna go with the dissenting opinion and say the Sledge would probably be better for the type of music you're after. I can see it's bell tones and and cool percussive stuff that you can't get with analog being far less limiting. Plus I have a blofeld and it will do convincing enough analog-ish s...

Re: What should each company make next?

Moog should make a Minitaur that isn't limited to low octaves. Roland should make a synth that isn't embarrassing. Korg should just be korg. Make a Volca mixer with FX or something. DSI needs a module version of the P12 with four voices for under a grand to replace the tetra. Yamaha should reissue t...

New Low Voltage Rangers EP.

Hi, There! My band, Low Voltage Rangers, has just released an EP of some unreleased songs from our last album as well as a few remixes. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it as it's our first completely in house production. We know it's not perfect, and we still have a lot to learn. But we are saving...

Re: Help for noob's first analog synth

Something that sounds good minimal, something that could work well with acoustic instruments. Maybe it's better to describe what I don't want to sound like, namely, not looking for dance-y or huge pop sound. I'm thinking more soulful, psychedelic, ambient. I'd definitely rule out the mopho, unless ...

Re: s**t Luck With Vintage Gear

The great thing is that new gear is really livening up these days. I used to love vintage gear but now I won't touch the stuff. It's overpriced and risky. The only way I would ever acquire any old gear is if I stumbled upon a "too good to be true" type of deal, like someone tossed a Minimoog in the ...

Re: Listening to mix on multiple sources

So, I have heard from several people that listening to a mix on as many possible devices is a good thing, whereas a few others have stated if you are listening to something that is true, that is all you need. What is your opinion ? I'm kind of in the middle here because I think if you are only list...

Re: picked up Juno-106 from repair shop, STILL BROKEN...

I would give them the benefit of the doubt since they probably don't see a Juno 106 often. They should fix it free of charge, if they don't or if they give you any hassles I'd say it's fair to post their name so others can avoid them. If they fail to fix it after a second time, I'd demand a full ref...

I'm pretty sure Garageband for iPad doesn't support VSTs.
