In the NNXT edit window select the sample/keyzone you want to adjust. When you hightlight a particular sample/keyzone all the controls in the NNXT edit window relate to just that sample. you could probably make a lot of cuts on the drums and bass, so you get more out of the "good parts" of the eq spectrum that you want from them.
