I think you´re not fully understanding the meaning of that chapter. The paragraph says "Recording with external CV´s and Gates" while i think it really should read "Recording and controlling external CV´s and Gates". The DSX cannot use an external CV/Gate source as the recording input. It always use...

fyi, these replies(at least according to manual) are NOT correct. the manual details usage for CV output AND input. something to do with track 0 and the settings, i think. no need, so didnt learn it. The MAQ is known to have problem with its CV outputs.

When you measure the CV you must do it with a load attached ( i.e the mini ). Only then can you really see what the MAQ is putting put.
