Mono Lancet has two VCOs.

Re: ELKA ressurected!

Realistically (and we know this), it's going to be more workstations/organs, yadda yadda... no 21st Synthexes are going to be made. From what I'm hearing, it's indeed going to be more Digital Pianos and that kind of stuff, but the people behind this have also talked about re-issuing the Synthex. ht...

I know a couple of live sound engineers that are very happy with the X32.

Re: The great thread of electronic/synthesizer soundtracks

I recently watched the Troma 'classic' Surf Nazis Must Die. A rather boring piece of trash cinema, but I did rather enjoy the soundtrack. Not very well produced (nor was the film), sounds pretty crappy in places to be honest, but it still was captivating. A lot of the synth sounds remind me of Casi...

From my perspective, it isn't nearly as good as the 101. Your perspective is different. Which is fine by me!

Re: sh 101 over juno 60 bass would you.

Hey, if I'm doing sequenced 16th note bass lines, I'm much happier with the 101 than with the MS-20 mini. That's all I'm saying. It just sounds right to my ears. MS-20 mini, not so much. For other kinds of basses, with a resonating HPF for example, great stuff.

Seriously? On mine, I have to move the attack knob almost up to 1 just to get an audibly non-instant attack at all.
I'm super cereal! And I'm talking about the decay.

Re: sh 101 over juno 60 bass would you.

101 is absolutely killer for tight sequenced bass lines. I pair mine with a TR-707, brings a smile to my face everytime. Juno-60 is definitely more useful, being polyphonic, but IME the SH-101 is the better choice for bass sounds. The prices are getting crazy though. I think I'd rather look at some ...

The old Prophet T8 is rather different sounding than the new Prophet 08 though, and with a distinctly different set of CEMs. And VCOs!

Like you guys, I also dig Goblin and love their Suspiria soundtrack! Italian 70's and 80s movies, you bet! 1990: Bronx Warriors and I'Ultimo Squalo by Castellari. Fulci, Argento, Ennio Morricone I love all that stuff. Oh yeah, all that stuff is what we're basically made of. Any post-apocalyptic mov...

That is a cool track! Somebody is a Carpenter fan, I can tell.. Actually this track isn't just cool, it's bad-ass baby! Thank you! And yes, we're all very big fans of Carpenter. The Fog is probably my favourite movie score ever, but I love the stuff he did with Howarth, also. I updated the first po...

Yes, they are, like on most Roland analogue polys. JP-4, JP-8 and JU-6/60 being the exception (don't know about the JU-6/60 LFOs). And like mentioned before, software EGs and LFOs on the Moog Subs as well.
