Re: iPad vs Android tablets

I saw an IPad to USB connector - can it be used to plug in a standard MIDI to USB adapter (Uno, edirol etc) and then use a MIDI keyboard as a controller? Anyone sucessfully tried this/ what were some issues along the way?? I have no idea how up to date this list is, but here it is anyway: http://io...

First recording of Chroma Polaris. Needs a recap and some loving care. Though it sounds pretty good as it is.. Also the first time I used the iPad to interface my hardware stuff, lovin' it.

Re: Moog Opus 3 Foot switch Jack

So I went to plug my Moog EP2 into my Moog Opus 3 and the Foot switch port on the Opus seems to be smaller than a 1/4" Jack but larger than a 1/8" Jack. I am unaware of any other universally used Jack socket. Was this a specific Moog configuration to be used with their older expression pedals? It's...

Re: Roland Jupiter 4

Just for reference, when this thread was started I paid 1500 euros for my JP4. From what I've seen, that much still seems to be the going price in Europe. - CM I know, it's tragic! I would pay a lot for a good one though. I'm going to Finland in three weeks, btw ;) Brilliant! Bring your Prophet 5 a...

Re: New DSI Mopho 4 Voice Synth Announced

I think it's interesting how disparaging some people get about the DSI sound sometimes (not that this whole thread has been so). The funny thing is, most of the bands I've seen live in the last week surround lollapalooza in chicago (neon indian, twin shadow) use all kinds of DSI gear live. To me, t...

Re: Rehoused Polymoog Resonator

So, what would be a nice analogue alternative to the Polymoog resonator? MAM RS3 any good for shaping the source like this?

Because that was awesome.

Re: Dave Smith's Tetr4, any experiences?

Yep. The sub osc and filter feedback add nice beef to the sound and the sequencers are a blast. But the programming sucks immensly. If you're comfortable with a computer editor, the Tetra is a nice synth. I had one on loan with the idea of buying it, but the sound wasn't entirely to my liking and th...

Awesome video and a great rendition! I admit being a bit partial to metal/doom riffs on synthesizers :D
